This series is great.. I am so obessed with it I can't not watch it on mondays.
Now the series is basically Jack Bauer has 24 hours to solve some mysteries. In this case its terrorism.
So to the fact that they can make 1 hour feel like a day is really good.
Today's episodes is Jack Bauer must stop beiruz father and get some information before a bunch of nuclear reactors meltsdown.
If you haven't seen this series watch it every monday on FOX at 9:00pm Pacific time.

The first season was terrific. Season 2+3 were still pretty good.
This year.....well, it's not bad. From an action standpoint, it isn't disappointing. But it's a lot more predictable than it used to be, and the science is surprisingly bad.

Had I not bought the Season 4 DVD (didn't have cable TV to watch it when it was first broadcast) I would have switched off. There was no tension in it for me; just a series of action sequences. For me, 24 is about a build-up of events constantly increasing the drama. Series 4 could have (in my opinion) been broken down into several stand-alone episodes because there were so many un-related incidents. One crisis would be averted only for another to take it's place. Arguably this happened in the other series, but in the other series, the events were linked, constantly ramping up the tension. Unfortunately for me, Season 4 let me down there.
I thought Season 1 was excellent, Season 2 was really good but slowed down towards the end. I thought Season 3 was the best yet when I first watched it but now, seeing it again, I realise it doesn't stand up to the first novel series.
I will probably end up seeing the fifth series somehow, even if I have to steal it from a friend but this time, I won't be buying it...I think for me, they may have over-done it. On top of this there are, I believe potential plans for a film with two further series planned - who knows where the series will end...
