I have it. It's not really an addictive game for me. Sort of like it was with BF1942. The Dark Stormtroopers are awesome though.

I thought it was a great game (esspecially if you're a Star Wars fan) but I thought there could have done with being more levels. Also, I thought some of the levels could have been alot bigger - by the time you've taken off in an X-Wing, you only get to fly forward for about 3 seconds before you get the "You are leaving the battlefield" message.
It was good while it lasted but it got old quickly...mind you, I remember being awestruck the first time I played the Rhen Var level with the AT-AT. Playing as the Rebels, running onto the icefield for the first time and seeing the massive head of a Walker come out of the 'fog'...that was a 'wow' moment for me lol.

I read somewhere, possibly on www.theforce.net that there are plans (though no official announcement yet as far as I know) for a sequel to the game which will feature a greater emphasis on the vehicular side - making levels bigger for example. One of the things I read was that they were considering having a level set on the Trench Run on the Death Star.
If they go ahead with it, it'll be one to look forward to I reckon.
Mind you, I still wish they'd release KOTOR on the PS2 lol.

Just read on www.theforce.net and the Lucasarts forums that a sequel has been confirmed for a release set in November this year.
Apparently the new game will feature space battles and the ability to board capital ships, etc, etc.
Sounds good to me; can't wait!

I decided this morning that i was going to buy battle front. But after seeing what you guys have said im not too sure. Do you recommend this game?
Is it more like your one person in a group fighting against other people on a planet or there are a few times when your controling your own ship in space?

Don't buy it. Its fun to play on multi. but gets old FAST. The single player mode is boring, buggy, and has so many limitations. I suggest RENT it and then decide what you think.

I reckon it depends how big a fan you are. If you're a big fan then go for it - though like others have said, it does get old quite quickly.
I think it's too short, levels are too easy and the levels themselves are too small. Some seem massive at first but after a couple of tries on each level, it all gets...simple.
Having said that, multiplayer is excellent and that element at least offers a lot of re-playability in my book.
If you're a multiplayer guy, go for it. If you don't have any mates (sounds a bit harsh lol) or aren't likely to use the multiplayer, I'd suggest waiting until November and looking at Battlefront 2.

I have one, When you go near its head, speed up and swoop round quickly, then slow down agen, its quite simple when you try it over and over, Dont just stand there shooting rockets at the blooming thing, u will end up dead half the time (depending on where the at-at is)
Keep with the speeder if ur taking ion at-at or the infamous Chiken walkers!

I have one. play as the pilot and get in the pilot seat and make a pilot get in the gunner chair thing then fly to the at-at and go low to avoid fire then switch to the gunner chair and fire the tow cable and the pilot you picked up will fly around safly. that works for me.
