I am SO sick of people complaining about this and the War on Terror. America has the right to defend itself. Japan bombed us. I don't care if they attacked a military instillation. Lives were still lost. What did you want us to do? Sit there and say "We forgive you."? Stupid thing to say. The Japanese military were cowardly. They placed military instillations in cities. STOP saying we were killing civilians. We were striking back. Be mad at the Japanese for doing that, not us. If you attack America you will pay. Get over it. Same thing with the War on Terror. People die by bombings. Is it the Terrorists fault? Nope. America is evil. They are retaliating for 9/11. They have no right! They should just accept it and move on. We have the right to fight back. Its time you people accepted that and got over it.

Excuse me, but Hiroshima nagasaka where 2 totally normal cities. Those people where not used by the Japanese too conseal Weapons, or factories or SAM sites or whatever, they where all Civilians, living their lives, taking out the trash, going too work, watch television and such. Then, at one day a Big bomb dropped just too make ap oint. Now, do you call that accidental killing Civilian lives for the better of the war? NO, thats killing Civilians on purpose.

Thats doesn't justify murdering thousands of innocent Civilians. Plus the fact that most people living in that region suffred even greater the next Years because of Cancer and radiation diseases. Not too mention the number of still borns and mutilations.
You don't wish that to anyone, even too you're worst enemy.
Thye could have also droped the bombs on an Island near Japan, or a empty countryside, or even a Militray base. a good way of showig the Japanses what this bomb is capable of. If they would have done that insteado f those 2 cities the Japanese wold have suely surrenderd and american wouldn't have too Invade.

The japanses could indeed Invade the US all the way too Chicago, but that was in 1943, the war just started and they didn't have the A-Bomb. Later, in 1945 the battle of Midway turned the tide of the war, the next few months the Americans had basicaly defeated the Japanese, their fleet, their Airforce and their army. The Japanese lost. Only after that the Americans Dropped the Bombs. it wasn't pointless too drop them, but it was pointless too drop them on 2 Cities.

The Japanese were not going to surrender if the Americans did not drop bomb. As you know already more lives would have been lost if the Americans decided to invade Japan itself.
If American troops would have landed in Japan the casualities of troops on both sides would be high, and the casualities of civilians would equal it. So I think the dropping of the bomb stopped the war, and ended further bloodshed.
The Japanese people always fight with honor, and because of that they were not going to surrender under any circumstances unless it was very bad to the point that recovery is almost impossible.
I personally think that killing many innocent people is horribly wrong but if it is the way to stop a war or futher bloodshed, thenI won't argue.

yes everyone shames us for fighting back, what are we supposed to do sit back and let it happne? (atacks on america) The terroris piss me off if you dont like our way of life, ignor us, bombing us to "teach us a lesson" is only gonna piss us of and kill you and any one who so much as said hi to you
as for a-bombing cicilians? kinda harsh as if it had happend to us, our leaders would shame the person who sent the bomb blah blah blah
