They had already lost the war, america could have invaded. You sayed so yourself. They navy was swiped out, their airforce was totally annihilated after midway.
All america had too do is SHOW that they had the power too defeat them permenantly. They shouldn't have used the A-Bomb.
perhaps, perhaps even then the other countries wouldn't know about the A-bombs destructivness and the cold war wouldn't have been so bad (perhaps thats not a good thing, i don't know.). |
Yes I said that we could have invaded, but statistics had shown that more lives would have been lost, than if we didn't use the bombs.
It seems that we're all going in circles now.

How would we show them that we could nuke an entire city with one bomb? Would they chicken out by looking at some results that for all they know could've been false? Send them a video about it? How would they know if the movie was real or not? Maybe we should've sent them the designs and shown them that atomic bombs could be made, and give the tech to them at the same time right? We did warn them that we'd use the bomb but they wouldn't listen. And they didn't surrender after the first bomb because figured we had only one. Probably because of how much destruction it caused. I'd agree in an instant that dropping both bombs was necessary.

No is right. We are NOT going to be friends with them just because they say this. Chirac is an ENEMY to this country. You take this. Just cut it out! You knew I couldn't post, so you went ahead and made a comment to me knowing this. That's the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me...NOT.

No. | Forgive and forget? If not, let's all be mad at America for Hiroshima, and boycott all American products! |
This is NOTHING like that, and that was YEARS ago, long before Oil for Food and other things, which are more RECENT. It is irrelevant.
