What does Kerry have to gain by lying? Absolutely nothing. The election is over. Plus, he is the number one person campaigning for unity, and has said (and proved) that he is willing to work with Bush on numerous things.

First of all, we went in there with waaaay to little forces. If I recall, other generals were pushing for more, but Rumsfeld apparently thought 100,000 would be enough.
Too little, sure, maybe, but WAAAAY too little? No. And I believe it was more than 100,000.
When you look at Iraq right now is it making any progess. No.
Yes, they are. VERY MUCH SO, too. Although he rarely admits it, O'Reilly even agrees with that. It is true--it IS making progress.
There have been thoughts among analysts that civil war is possible, if you don't already think that is what is going on.
I highly doubt that.
There are insurgents all over the place. Yes, yes, I know someone is going to so...oh that is just in blah blah blah...the rest of Iraq is just dandy. Well it aint. With all the terrorism in Iraq, civilians have no sense of security and certain future. The whole thing seems ill planned.
(will expand later if necessary, gtg atm) |
Yes, it IS better! You just can't see that! Insurgents are really only in the Fallujah-Mosul-Baghdad area (Sunni triangle) and maybe a FEW scattered about, but there are NOT many, and things ARE getting better. Terrorism is not all over, and they DO have a certain future. The Iraqi ambassador testified to that last night on O'Reilly. The terrorism is in minor regions, and is shrinking.
