my names kat
i live melbourne in victoria in australia
I'm in my last year of high school (gee that makes me feel old)
Im doing Physics Chemistry German and Further maths and if anyone can help me lean motion i would really apreciate that.
im the only girl in my family
im also the only one who can even work out how to turn on the computer

well i dunno if you can help but ive got:
what is the acceleration (assumed uniform) of a trian if:
a) it starts from rest and reaches a speed of 10ms-1 in 20s?
b) it slows down from a speed of 15ms-1 and reaches rest in 12s?
I dont get any of this stuff *pulls out hair*

I'll try to help.
You use the following formula:
x = x0 + v.t + 1/2.a.t�
If you derivate that once, you get the formula for speed:
v = v0 + a.t
for a) that becomes:
10m/s = 0m/s + a.20s
Therefore a must be 0.5m/s�. a is possitive so it's an acceleration.
for b) that becomes:
0m/s = 15m/s + a.12s
Therefore a must be -15/12 or a = -1.25m/s�. a is negative so it's a decceleration or negative acceleration (depending on what you call it).
