I dont know because as far as I know no one has succeeded in travailing at the speed of light. In fact scientists are still debating the actual speed of light, So far they have always thought the speed of light was constant but now they think other wise.
I could be wrong but I dont think theres any such thing as the speed of darkness. It is a complicated subject and I'm not really sure how to explain it. I dont think it travels anywhere; darkness is just darkness is just there.

I heard that if you travel faster than light then you become non-existent as you are no longer obeying the laws of physics. Einstein might of been wrong though (yeah right)

if you were travling at light Speed Warp 1 The light could keep up. Darkness isn't a tangable thing. It is a lack of something - in this case light...so I suppose it has no speed.

One thing about general relativity that is hard to understand is the thought that light ALWAYS travels at light speed (bingo! I just solved the photon torpedo puzzle!), relative to ANYTHING. Meaning that if you move at near light speed, photons will still move at lightspeed past you.

This isn't proven and is trying to be disproven as we speak. But, if early theoris are correct your description is correct.

You cannot travel at light speed, it is impossible. With a warp drive system you do not move at all, but you warp the space around you to create the effect, and accomplish the purpose of movement, without actually moving, enabling you to "disobey" the laws of general relativity.
The speed of darkness you say? All darkness is is an absence of light, so I guess you could say that "darkness" travels at the speed of light.
Think of it like this. Night vision goggles enable you to see in the dark. It is dark at night because we aren't getting direct sunlight anymore, like during the day. There is some light, but not in noticeable amounts. Night vision goggles amplify the light entering your pupil, enabling you to see better when it is dark outside.

it has indeed something to do with the laws of relativity. according to these laws when you are inside a starship which is flying with the speed of light and you switch on the light you should see it because the actual light in the starship is not affected by the conditions outside the ship. this statement can be proven with a simple example: when you are inside a car travelling with a speed of let's say 120 kph and you throw up a ball you will see that the ball is not affected by the current speed, it will fall back just in your hand with no movement in horizontal directions.
on the other hand if you throw up a ball when still accelerating it will move in a horizontal direction to the back of your car. this is the same for light. I think when a ship is accelerating from a speed: 0-6xlightspeed
you won't see light during the acceleration process from 1lightspeed to 6lightspeed and as soon the speed is stable you will be able to see lights.

Well well, thats a good question. But darkness does not have any speed at all, 4 now.

Thats right, light has a speed but darkness is something that doesn't reach our eyes.
If there is no light there is darkness instantenious.

Indeed.
Light is actually made up of energy quanta. Darkness is just the absence of EM energy that is visible to the human eye.
So even though it may seem like your room is dark and scary at night, there are really a lot of EM waves travelling around . . . and they are watching you.

*Takes out handy "A brief History Of time by Stephen Hawkings that is right by computer*
lol! I'm not even joking. I was doing an essay on something to this effect, and Hawkings said that:
"...e=mc^2.. the law that nothing may travel faster then the speed of light. Because equivalence of energy and mass the energy which as object has due to its motion will add to its mass. In other words, it will make it harder to increase its speed. This effect is only really significant for objects moving at speeds close to the speed of light....As an object approches the speed of light, its mass rises ever more quickly, so it takes more and more energy to speed it up further. It can in fact never reach the speed of light because by then its mass would have become infinite, and by then equivalence of mass and energy, it would have taken an infinite amount of energy to get it there. For this reason any normal object is forever confined by realitivity to move at speeds slower then the speed of light. "

Starships in Star Trek dont actually move faster than light. The warp field warps the space around the ship so that the ship is actually moving at sub light speeds through the space immediately surrounding its hull.
