As much as I hate to single out a Metallica song, since almost every song they have is amazing, I'm gonna have to go for "Fade to Black". I just love that mellody to death, and the guitar solo at the end? Fade to Black is a masterpiece. Plain and simply, a masterpiece.

Metallica is an ok band. Out of the two songs I was forced to listen to I picked Fade to Black.
Discard one vote for King Nothing and add it to Fade to Black.

Cant we pick any other good songs that they played? Cause it would be really cool if we can do that.

Give me a break, if you really think that you don't know anything about metal. There would be no metal without bands like Black Sabbath or Judas Priest. Metallica was a good band in the 80's, but they haven't been a metal band for a long-assed time now. Load? Reload? Rock, pure and simple. St. Anger? Ha! Mallcore (numetal) garbage.
And if I had to pick a best Metallica song, I'd say Master of Puppets. The guitaring in that song, especially during the chorus, is *beep* awesome.

I'm still searching for that song of metallica where in the clip an old woman sings "Ladadada ladada" and they stand on a platform while a House turns around them. Anybody?

The Memory Remains, a decent song even though it was on the steaming pile, Reload.
