PostWed Jan 12, 2005 7:42 am    OK, Heres the Story...(Adventures!)

I had one hell of an adventure tonight. Basically, I was going my laundry. So I put it in, and went back to my room. I was hanging out and whatnot, used my new microwave for the first time and all that good stuff, then went to go put it in the dryers. As soon as I closed my door, I realized...

I didnt have my key.

Locked out! Ive been there before, but never at 1:30 AM. So, I knock on my Resident Advisors door, and nothing. I knock on the other guys door, nothing. I knock on the doors of 12 people who could all help me, and get a big pile of nothing. I wasnt knocking, I was just knocking lightly. I didnt want to disturb anyone that late at night, since they all had 9 and 8 oclock classes in the morning. Yeah.

So I faced an uber dilemma. Sleep in the lobby, or call campus security. I opted to call campus security. Granted im tiredish, pissedish, and all being stupid, I decide to go out and find them. I can only leave a message for the officer to get later (within 5 minutes), so I left a message saying I was going to be walking around campus looking for him. Yeah, not a good idea. The campus is huge. I start walking, and find his car after 10 minutes. So I stand at his car for a full 30 minutes. But, late at night, the residence hall doors lock, and only open from the outside with a key. Now, if I had a key, I wouldnt be outside, so there lied a problem. Basically, I sabotaged the back door, and unlocked it from its lock setting so I could ge back in.

After 30 minutes of staying at the officers car, I decided, *beep* it. My arms were going numb. (10 degrees fahrenheit mind you). So I go back to the residence hall to call again or something. Anything to get warm. What do I find out? Hes been there, and re-locked the door. So, im stuck outside in the cold. I walk back to wait at the car some more, and find...hes in the car! His headlights turn on, and he drives away. HE DRIVES AWAY!!! So, I lost him. Couldnt follow, the roads are too weird.

So I end up walking around randomly, tired, pissed, cold, afraid of hypothermia. I decided to go to the hospital on top of the hill next to the campus, and call the emergency line directly to the officer from there. I start to go, and see one of the late shift janitors cleaning out the south hall. I got in there, and talked to him. The security officer had been all over looking for me, so I decided to stay put there.

Me and the janitor dude sat there until 4 AM, waiting for the security guy to show up, after calling him 4 times in 3 different ways. We even ended up calling the county police, because we thought he might be dead or something. He showed up, and I got to ride in his cop car, and he told me he was on a different channel, so he didnt get our calls. Also, he was on the other side of the campus the whole time I was elsewhere. It was pretty bad. So I got in to the dorms again, and I was handed off to the Resident Advisors, who were also going crazy trying to find me. Ended up, that if I knocked hard on the doors of them, they would wake up. They are required to be on duty til 7 AM every night. Horrible. So, here I am, finishing my laundry, pissed that I missed Star Trek, and really *beep* tired.

Hell of an adventure, wouldnt you say?

Too cold. Numbness in arms (from lack of heat). Numbness in brain (from lack of star trek).
