The new Uniform

I had seen it before in some season 6 & 7 episodes and it never really bothered me.

But i was watchin my season 5 DVD's today and in the episode "The Ascent" they had there normal uniforms and then in the episode after that called "Rapture" They had suddenly changes uniforms and i was just SO shocked. It took me all episode just to get used to it. lol.

I definately prefer the old uniforms. Definately.

Yeah the jump was quick. I think it was more because of the movie First contact than anything. I love the new uniforms. Compared to the old ones...they are better IMO.

The new ones were my fave Starfleet uniforms.
But the Enterprise ones are a close second.

My only basis of judgement is that I like later serieses better, therefore I like the uniforms more.

yes the new ones are the best ever, I always hated the first ds9 and voy uniforms.... but i really also like the "future" uniforms seen in the last TNG episodes and the last voy episodes and DS9 "The visitor" episode. the combadge they are using looks perfect.

Care to post a picture? I never knew there was a differnce. From my memory I think I liked the uniforms that they wore in season seven more than they did in the first few seasons.

I agree with Founder, (i always seem to...) The New ones look better. To me the New Uniforms make them look more intimidating and bolder....but thats just what I think

Nah i dont like them, plus it's weird cuz of all there layers

They're on a space station/starship with environmental controls so it is almost always the perfect temperature for them and they have like 3-4 layers. Sometimes that idea just seems abit silly.

I mean yes what if they go to a planet and its freezing and blah blah blah, but ya know what i mean.

if you go down to the "basics" of the uniforms, you could be looking at two pieces per uniform: The undergarments, and the jumpsuit to cover most of it up.

Although it's sad to see a uniform change, especially when the old ones looked cool, I think the new ones are more streamlined and almost mark how the sow begins to change (with the whole Dominion war situation).

The newer uniforms that were used in the later seasons of DS9 made the show look... better. I do like the old ones, but only on the Voyager crew not DS9.

The newer ones, despite the multiple layers for the top are more comfortable. the old ones are actually a one piece suit
