I liked Tasha's character but I preferred Worf as a security chief. I think the mistake the writers made with Tasha was making her so angry - like in "Hide & Q" when she gets sent to the penalty box by Q and she starts crying and yells "It just makes me so angry to be controlled like this" (or something to that effect). It seemed more like overreaction, rather than genuine anger, and it seemed like a pretty dumb line to me anyway - none of the other officers cried so was it meant to be a sexist thing that only the female cried?

Worf, HIs character fit a lot better in TNG than Yar's did. There were to many Humans on the senior staff so had to have some type of varation.

Worf would definitely beat Tasha Yar because Worf is a big, scary and grumpy klingon.

I don't even like the actress that played Tasha. She can not act in my opinion.

I say Worf...he is so much more intimidating than Tasha was! (which serves you good if you are the head of security)

I think worf is a great fighter and a tough klingon warrior.Tasha Yar was killed off too early, she would have been a great character to get to know.I know she came back briefly as her "daughter",but her character was killed off before her time.I think worf and her would have ended up together,a really interesting storyline.

Tasha Yar sucked. She was all "Now Wesley, I hope you never do drugs *fake smile*"

Worf kicked butt.

I chose Tasha. She died to early, and i think she deserved better. If they really wanted that she was going to die, let her die when the USS Enterprise-D was destroyed. That she was, by accident, still on the ship.

Tasha was a weak charachter if you ask me. Not in strength, but in drawing you to her... She seemed almost like an extra in my point of view. But I love Worf anyway, so....

Tasha could have been great. Getting rid of her near the end of TNG's first season was one of Star Trek's biggest mistakes.
