And that would be what this apparent misunderstanding is about. My apologies. *backs down*

Also sorry. I edit incessantly if my post doesn't look right...which I did on that one.

No. I mean he knows scripture. He's a student of Greek and Hebrew, and he knows the bible inside-out. Of course I wouldn't say that about an atheist--why would an atheist want to know what the parable of the fig tree meant?

I'm sure there are plenty of atheist scientists who like to study religions in-depth, including the metaphorical meanings within biblical texts.

I don't go to an atheist to hear bible teaching, when he/she doesn't even believe in the power of the holy spirit. If I want someone to tell me why not to believe something I already do, I'll go find them. When I go to a pastor, I want to listen to someone who experiences the same spirituality I do and wants to teach me about it. I don't want the explanations of parables and spiritual gifts from someone who doesn't believe they're true, what would be the point? Don't you people at least somewhat get what I mean here? I'm sure some atheists study it, but I really don't care about what they have to say on my religion if I'm looking to understand it better in a spiritual way. That's not what I'm looking for in a teacher when it comes to the bible. An atheist can't help me learn how to be closer with God, nor would they wish to. Therefore, to me as a Christian, no atheist can know the bible quite like another Christian can. That's subjective, I suppose, but I think most Christians would agree.

Anyone want to hear me lecture on the Liberal philosophy? Anyone? I should hope not. I could tell people why to be Leftist, but heck if I could believe it, and I don't think any Dems out there would wanna' listen to me. Not near as bad as an atheist teaching about the bible.

I still can't make the connection between complex DNA and a "god."

me neighter. At first DNA was simple, made for 1 celled organisms... Later evolution, or nature started too make complexer DNA all the way untill an intelligent lifeform...Us.

That took about 600 million years too develop. This has been provenby the way and not that 'God' part. I don't think 'God' would have taken so long, nature would.
