Why isn't Hulk Hogan on the list?
He brought WWF into the mainstream, he brought a whole new set of fans to the WWF when it went national in 1985. I WANT HULK HOGAN IN TIME MAGAZINE AS MAN OF THE YEAR!

Yes. The year they were elected.
I HATE this though!
Quote: | 1938 Adolf Hitler
1939 Joseph Stalin |
Humbug! Damn them! They should NOT have been chosen! |
Well, they're purpose is not to show the best person of the year, but the person who most affected things. And Stalin and Hitler both achieved that. |
I don't care. That's worse than giving Michael Moore an Oscar for Best Picture.

No one said it was nicest person, or most honorable person-just the person who has made the greatest impact, for good or bad. Besides, I am sure TIME did not give either of them shining reveiws anyhow .

Yeah, I could see that...
--EDIT--
And I understand that it's for better or worse.

Hulk Hogan should have been Man of the Year from the years 1985-93.

They were considering Osama Bin Laden for 2001, but basically they chickened out because of all the controversy it would have created. I can't blame them. The title makes it sound like something good all the time, so I think it should be named something like "Most Influential Person of the Year" or something like that.
And Starfleet Dentist, we know your view about Hulk Hogan, so no need to spam by repearing it loads, thanks.

Dont be an ass Jeremy...
Dude, Michael Moore did have the best picture. And in your misguided () opinion, it would be the best picture of fiction. You have to admit, he tells a hell of a story, whether or not you believe the facts.

Em, how am I being an ass?
It's true about the Bin Laden bit, and SD has repeated his opinion about 5 times already, no need to do it again. PM the reply if you can be bothered,

Star Wars and Matrix were good non fiction movies as well.

I think I'll call it a day as far as this site goes. It's not the first time I've had someone say that.
First off, Jeremy. I DO NOT spam. I am a big opponent of spam. I have been a member of various forums before this and the one thing I always opposed was spam.
I wasn't spamming. My last comment specified the years Hulk Hogan should have been Man of the Year from 1985-1993, his best years in the WWF. I'm just having a bit of fun, I DO NOT care about post counts and never have. It's like when I did that fun April Fools joke last year, someone tried to make out it was spam.
Like I said, I HATE SPAM! I hate it when people try to increase their post count and I've always spoken out against it on other forums. I had had a very hard day this week and I had been watching some vintage WWF action with Hulk Hogan in. It gave me nostalgia which is why I probably mentioned him so many times.
Jeremy, with respect, if you're going to tell someone to stop spamming, at least determine whether they have actually spammed or not. Because that WASN'T spam.
Thanks for reading this.

Back on topic.
Just got the issue today, I started reading it now. I shall post my opinion eventually, but I liked the spread of the dozen covers Bush has been on. Yes indeed, he's been an entertaining influential person.

Won't go too much off-topic but I wonder why Chris Reeve was not named Man of the Year at any point. Of course, I don't suppose it really matters, some people transcend things like that but he did do a lot of good for those who were paralyzed.
God rest his soul.
