Yeah, it's usually dry and pretty warm on Christmas here. the West's winter playground, huh? White Easter is usually more like it.

haha... yeah, I've only been out there in the summer. and it's *beep* hot and muggy. I can't stand humidity. especially being from Colorado where it's so dry, the snow evaporates instead of melting.

Yeah, thats one thing I absolutely HATE about Illinois. Because I live so close to the lake, we get heavy snowfall on my side of the street, and REALLY humid summers.

Aye... you people and your water. I like Lake MIchigan though. I haven't been out there in a while. Are there still those nasty biting flies on the southeastern beach?

Yeah, it's nice... even though, weirdly enough, we were one of the highest on the list of deaths due to West Nile Virus during that last outbreak. I've seen maybe... two mosquitos living here for 18 years though. oh... and on one of our adventures to the evil pond off somerset. It was weird.

I don't see that many in my part of Michigan. I'm not sure why. I do see them from time to time, but only a few.

How does this relate to a White Christmas?

I've never seen any flying around in CO. the ones that we saw were all nestled in a little swamp.

They like swamps, thats why I love living by 3 bodies of water. I have a creek in my back yard, I live a few miles away from Lake Michigan, and the Fox River is within walking distance.

I would not mind snow. I'm visiting my grandparents in the mountains for Christmas, but it's not nearly cold enough...which is too bad, 'cause my family goes wild when we get to play in the snow.

I go INSANE when the creek freezes over, because its only a few inches deep, it freezes solid. So we play hockey on it.
