|
From the Coastal Courier Quote: |
Family, friends, and co-workers of Elaine Boggs and her daughter Meredith huddled into the tiny classroom in the Century 21/Action Realty office in Hinesville to watch the broadcast of the MTV's show,'' Date My Mom,'' which the Hinesville mother-daughter team won.
Elaine and Meredith were pittef against two other mother-daughter teams, Elaine a real estate agent used a hard pitch sale to convince a 25 year old identified as John to select her daughter for a date at the end of the show.
The pitch paid off- John dismissed the other two daughters to chose Meredith as his date.
John cited Elaine's stories of Meredith as his reason for chosing her. During a carriage ride through the Agoura Hills, about an hour outside of Los Angeles, Elaine told John that Meredith was a veteran beauty pageant constestant and once made a boyfriend who came to pick her up shave his scuffy beard before going out with him.
The program aired Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. was well received at the real estate office.[code]

I thought this was date my mom, not date my daughter or did this newspaper get the information wrong or what? I am confused.

The show is a contest. One guy, picks a daughter to date, of 3 candidates. His only basis of who is best, is by him going out with her mom. So he goes out with the mom, to decide if the daughter is datable or not. Weird show in my opinion.
