They fight for one another.

I would like to see a DS9 movie just to see how worf turned out because there are so many questions unanswered.
I think the next movie should show worf doing the job as he should be, as a federation ambassador, and not at the tactical station on enterprise.I can understand worf transporting over after the defiant was disabled by the borg and of course the wedding invitation, but 3 straight movies at tactical station?Come on!!! Didnt even show anything from the klingons in the entire 3 movie setup.

Hola!
Worf always seems to have a lot of different jobs, he was first a helmsman on TNG, then the Enterprise D security chief. Then he went over to DS9, did the security thing again, then screwed up and was told that he would never get a command at Starfleet.
He was never excited about the Klingon Ambassador job in the first place. General Martok more or less strong armed him into the job. Hard to say "no" to Martok, he was like a Klingon Patton.
Maybe later on, Martok died or was killed in battle. Fed up with dealing with dumbass, smelly, violent people that were his race, he resigned. Worf loved and honored the Klingon history, religious rights and customs, but I think he enjoyed being around humans. Since DS9 was being ran by the Bajorans and all of his collegues there (save Quark) were gone, Picard got him his old job back at the Enterprise E.
Not to tough.

Read the series "A time to". All nine books explain how and why Worf returned to the Enterprise. There are two more follow-up books as well, one which details a Picard/Crusher love story and the next will be the return of the Borg.
PS - Worf will be the First Officer on the big E now that Riker and Data are out of the way.

IIRC in the book to the movie they explained it so:
Deanna and Will Riker finally marry, all their old friends attend the wedding. Worf, too, of course. And then they get the message that something really bad happened and they have to intervene. Being a true Klingon, Worf can't stay behind when his friends are in trouble (plus: there's the prospect of a nice fight) and that's how he ends up on the Enterprise once again.
I'm not sure about the details - I read the book only once (definitely once too often, at least as far as the German version is concerned), and that was years ago.
