Why is people so racist?

I don't understand why people have to be so racist? This morning I was walking back from the shoppette , the army conveinet store. And I accidently dropped my military Id card and I walked out not realizing I dropped it. Well this black man called out hey stupid!! I never had anyone from any race call me stupid not for a honest forgetful mistake.
I am not racist by the way. I love people from all races. I forgave the man cause I did not want to start an war. I went got the id and told him I love him and walked away.
I showed him, by showing love and not hate .
You know if he had walked out and forgot his id and I called out for him, I would not have called him stupid. If he wanted my name he should have looked on my id.

I don't understand the hatred in this darn world. I am just having a bad morning. Seems like I can not have a bad morning without someone calling me stupid. I am not letting it get to me though cause I know I am not stupid.

Okay, don't get me wrong. I do not really consider myself racist. However, here in Holland, where I live, we have loads and loads of lazy Turks and Maroccans who just sit on their ass and ask our government for money. They also commit way more crimes than native Dutch people. Almost all of them are dumb, and don't even try for education. I hate those people.
Having said that, I must add I don't have anything against normal people of other races. People who try to become something in life, who are nice, don't beat you up because you tell them to stop driving scooters all around the parking lot (yes, they actually beat a man to death for that), and who try become part of the normal Dutch society.
I would thus never go around telling (random) people I don't know, from other races, stupid (or worse).
That's my opionion on this issue.

But people are human no matter who they are and have feelings. I don't know anymore. I will not change the way I view people cause they call me stupid, I just forgive and love them anyway. Guess I am to soft hearted. I am not going to stoop to the man's level. Cause I know I don't have a racist and hateful heart.

You probably got me wrong. I would probably not hate someone because he/she would call me stupid once. It's just... You don't know the situation here. Those Maroccans come here, don't do anything (except for drug dealing maybe), and then ask our government for money. And it gets worse: they even get their *beep* money.

well thats a whole diffent situation. I don't think a Neo-Nazi would curse at a maroccan, i think he would kick the crap out of him. But thats besides the point.

but no, that would not be different. at least, for the racism part. For the consequences i'm not too sure.

You know lionhead, I don't think you understand what I was saying. Yes he did sound racist cause of his atitude. And I am not making it up either.
If he had any common sense he would looked on my id card and seen my name. By the way lionhead, I did hear him and Iwas paying attention to him. I can hear. a mod or admin please lock this cause I didnt know this going to start an darn arguement I just needed someone to talk to. I was wrong to even start this topic.

He may have been racist, but because he calls someone of a different race stupid for something unrelated it makes it a tough call if he was racist, or simply, well rude.

Either way, I hate both racist and rude people, so yeah.

Ehm... deb... Did you actually say that you loved that guy. I mean did you told him that you still loved him even thou he called you stupid?
That's... well... I'm not sure what it is actually. But one thing is for sure, I would never tell any stranger who calls me stupid, that I love him. I'd get angry, (well maybe not in this case when the dude helped you, but otherwise)

I'm no rasist, but I do have prejudice and all that, just like everyone else. But I love to... "prove" my prejudice wrong. And I find people from diffrent countries/religions/sociatys really intresting. Like for example I just made a new freind who's hinduist... I had no idea hinduism was so cool... but they don't celebrate christmas thou... well actually they do, but not quite as we do... And islam... now there's some wicked religion! I like islam way more then our national religion. And I didn't know all that until I met those of my friends

Anyway... tip: don't think so much. I mean... if you think about how that person look and all that, then your mind gets... "blocked". And not reacting just because the person is black or whatever is also a kind of... rasism light... or at least your prejudice kicking in...
