Adequate conclusion, but I thought it was hurried...
What is the deal with T'Pau at the end? She tells Archer "it is time for Earth to stand on its own," as if she's been in the thick of diplomatic relations between their two planets. What does she know of Earth? She's been in the desert as part of a radical, minority religious group for years. Soval would have been the better character to make that statement. Outside of the line, "it may take years to translate all of the writings," T'pau had no place in that scene because it misrepresents the Valcans. I just don't want to accept that from one scene to the next she goes from a grungy radical to someone in the position of power in Vulcan society (at least how it seems to be portrayed). She was walking in front of Soval at the end... come on what is wrong with this scene.
The new plot twist that brings the Romulans into this time frame is going to be exciting. I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

Yeah, I too am looking forward to more on the Romulans .
Anyway, I thought this episode was pretty awesome (except for the end as Morphy said). The way that T'Pol's husband broke their marriage and all was pretty cool too, what will happen now between her and Trip :O . As I said, I really liked the ending with V'Las talking to the Romulan and I can't wait to see how this will turn out. If I were to rate this episode, I'd give it a 9.0 (because of the T'Pau thing).
((BTW: I wonder when they are going to launch the U.S.S. Columbia NX-02, hasn't it been being built since Enterprise took off from Earth .))

One word. AWESOME!! I didn't even mind the ending, I just thought it rocked. Showing the Romulan was a great idea I think, and nobody can cry "discontinuity" about it either, because the humans never saw him.

Best part of the epidose was when Soval was under torture...he had good quotes.
I like the way he told the story about the army being mistaken for sandstorm and the Vulcan soldier, who didn't report it, his name now means "fool". The blue dude got ranked by Soval, haha. Good stuff.

It was an amazing eppisode, but I agree with m, it was a little hurried. And in the end, it did look like T'Pau was in a position of power. Other than those little things, I thought it was awesome. I can't wait for next weeks eppisode to find out whats up with the Romulans.

I honestly do not know even where to begin; this episode was top of the notch! It was truly the best so far in season four of enterprise. I was a little shaky when I learned about the Katra, It would be another way to rewrite history in favor of Enterprise. I dont know too much about Vulcans, but this episode made me like there race again more than I have in the last few weeks of Enterprise.
There were two very good storylines going on in the episode, one of which was Archer and TPol trying to bring the artifact to the high command. During the fight scene where TPol was lost and TPal pushed Archer in the whole it made me think for a second. They hot away WAY TO EASY! If they had really wanted to stop Archer they would have followed him straight down the hole. But they didnt. If Star Trek was real, you better believe that they would have gone down it after them. One more thing that I didnt like so much about that scene was the fighting skills of Archer, they had him put up against 5 or 6 Male Vulcans and he was winning, Vulcans have a high level of strength and fighting skill than Humans, This was told in DS9: Take me out to the Holo suits. There should have been more fighting done by both T/Pol and TPal because of there Vulcan strength, each of them could have easily taken down Archer.
The second plot line / story was with Trip and Enterprise trying to warn the andorian people. I have to say I liked this part this best. I have been a fan of the androdian people and it is always a pleasure to see one of them. The way they were able to transport Soloak was a little shaky, It seemed as if they just took him out to easy. Didnt Enterprise have there shields up?
Again Hoshi and Travis had very little screen time, same went for Dr. Phlox in this episode. I liked how they were able to show Trip in command of Enterprise for a little bit, as well as having Reed take a more command (ish) role on enterprise as the acting first officer on the ship while both Archer and TPol were away down in the forge on the planet.
The part where TPal was talking to archer saying that it was time for Earth to stand on its own.. Very crappy. I agree it should be shown but with what little air tie that it was given could have been improved upon a whole lot.
Having TPol and her husband break up was something special. I knew it wouldnt last but I wasnt expecting it to happen in this episode. Very touching.
My final not is very plain and simple. I Love the ending. The Romulan was a complete surprise. I really wish this would have been a 4 part episode (like you every though that I would say something to that effect). The fact that they are bringing in the reunification plot line again is okay. They never really overused it to much; I would be looking forward to reading more and more about it. Also isnt the Remean people part of the Romulans or something?

There is an arc coming up that involves the Romulans. I can't explain it into much more detail without giving spoilers.

Does anyone else think the whole thing with T'Pol's marriage was pointless? I mean, as far as this series, what developed from this marriage? Uhhh... nothing.

I would just like to send out a big "ah-ha" to Koss.
Go home. No one likes you. Trip is better than you.
Excellent episode by the way too...
And, yes. Pointless indeed.

We know. But I didnt like him anyways. KirShara was awesome, because now the Andorians are cool with the Humans alot again, and Saval got a nice promotion. Although im still pissed they killed Admiral Forrest, he was awesome.
