PostFri Dec 03, 2004 5:25 pm    Blotting out pain

I am feeling so crap now. I've had another awful day at work, I am at the end of my tether with the useless organisation I work for. They have screwed me and many others, they are a heartless, soulless organisation.

From this day on, I look out for me. I care about my colleagues. I will help them. I care about the general public, I will always do my best to help them. I care about my friends, online and offline. And I care about my family.

But the useless, out-of-touch, bureaucratic, bean-counting idiots who run my organisation can kiss my ass. I don't care about doing good at work anymore. I've gave that job my all for seven years, I've been loyal, always tried to go the extra mile, without any thought of reward.

From this day on, I am going to waste time at work. I shall now use the majority of my working day to drink tea, chat to my colleagues, read the paper and browse this site. If management need anything from me, they can get lost! I'm not going to go the extra mile anymore, let the overpaid bureacrats do the work.

Plus, there is a possibility that me and several others may be made redundant from our jobs. Management have secured their own careers, us workers can do nothing. What a Merry Christmas, eh?

I needed to vent then.

As I've said on this forum before, I hate my life at the moment. I am an underachiever. I've squandered opportunities in the past. I've so many regrets, there are so many times in my life when I should have done something but didn't. I've dropped the ball on so many occasions. And now all this crap at work.

I've decided. I am going to browse the net looking at alterantive and modern medicine. I am going to find something LEGAL, a pill or tablet or something else, that I can be prescribed by a doctor. I want something that blots out the past and wipes away emotional, mental pain. I want to forget about my past, I wish there were a medical way to wipe my memory.

I will have a good browse but does anyone know of any alternative or orthodox medicinal treatments that repress memories and blot out emotional pain?

It felt fairly liberating. But I'd still rather see what alternative or orthodox medicine can provide.

My chiropractor does this thing called a "clearing". I don't know, it didn't really work for me, but I've had other people tell me it worked really well for them. First you concentrate on what's really bothering you, then he feels around for "the right lump" on your head. When he finds it, you have to take a big breath and hold it, still really concentrating on the thing that's bothering you as he applies pressure to the lump. and then, apparently he can feel when it's gone, and that means the thing that's bothering you will be out of your head.

Like I said, it didn't work for me, but other people told me it's done wonders and it's like... the best release of stuff that's bothering you. I'm convinced he's just a witchdoctor though. I don't know... maybe you could find someone who does clearings.

Well, I must admit that I've never heard of that. Thanks for the information, Triam.

Short of a lobotomy (or a large, heavy object) I think a drug that can supress memories and take away emtional pain is about as close to reality as time travel or the fountain of youth. Sorry, bud.

Oh, I see.

There has to be something, though. Not necessarily orthodox medicine, but something alternative. I've decided recently that I want to blot out the past and really wipe out emotional pain. I want something that can do that, there has to be something, surely.
