But while you argue that they could have got lots of oil from the scandel the opposition argue that why go through the scandel, why not just remove Sudam and get it ourselves without him? It all depends on what facts you believe are facts.

I don't think the UN is corrupt as such, it's just useless because of the setup. If anything it's too democratic, if there can be such a thing, so that they don't decide on anything.

And agreeing with Link, the US went into the second world war because of pearl harbour. Roosavelt (sp) wanted to help Britian and so on, but the American public was against it because of all the lifes that had been lost in the first world war.

1. We DID go into Iraq, but take the oil? NO. Will we? NO, unless they DECIDE to give it to us!

2. Yes, it's too democratic, but they are VERY corrupt. Just look at the Oil for Food facts.

3. This brings up a whole different topic. Yes, prior to the US entry into WWII, there was a GREAT US isolationist movement. However, once Pearl Harbour happened, we entered the war. But the topic is this: To those that say that President Bush knew about 9/11 ahead of time and did nothing (which he didn't) do you acknowledge the MUCH MORE LIKELY possibility that FDR knew about Pearl Harbor before it happened and did nothing so as to thrust us into the war? There is MUCH more evidence to that (I watch "Conspiracy?" on the History Channel last night.) No, I am NOT going to jump to this conclusion, that he DID know, but I'm just wondering...It's interesting, especially considering the amount of evidence they give. I don't know, though, and I'm not going to make a judgement until everything is declassified.

I never said that they did go into Iraq for the oil, I'm just saying that some people would believe this, and disagree with the theory like you are disagreeing with that one.
