a lowercase c in parenthesis should do it.

Exactly. Or uppercase. ie (c) or (C) will format it. For R in a circle, same thing only "r." And also, for Trademark (TM) type in "1st " and when it formats the "st," back up with your arrow and replace the "st" with "TM," and delete the "1."

Go to INSERT, the SYMBOLS, the find the �.
Also try holding ALT, then on your number pad type in 0 1 6 9
�

Somewhat easier:
For �: Ctrl+Alt+C
For �: Ctrl+Alt+C
Those two work in almost all fonts.
The (TM) thingy is Ctrl+Alt+T in a (very) few fonts, but you'll mostly get this: �...
