This isn't really a big thing, but it has been bugging me for some time. In the episode "Fight or Flight" in the first season, Hoshi asks Archer if she can switch quarters with another crew member, because "the stars are going the wrong way". Whaaat? Doesn't the stars always go the same way, no matter what side of the ship you're on?

That doesn't change anything. IF they were running backwards, the stars would still go the same way no matter where on the ship you're looking out from.

Maybe she had her pillow on the other side, and they can't change the way you're bed is set. So on one side the stars are coming towards you and on the other side the pillow is on the other side of the bed and the stars go away from you.

That makes sense.
If the beds are built in (which I think they are) the only way to move the bed is to switch rooms.

No i think it was cuz of the side and the window and i dont think the quarters were perfectly on the site. i think they were slightly to the back so it would look like the stars are at a certain angle.

If Hoshi sleeps on the right side of the Enterprise and looks out the window, the stars will seem to fly by from the left to the right. If she sleeps on the left side and looks out the window, the stars seem to fly by from the right side to the left. I'm sure that's easy to understand. Just imagine you're sitting in a car and look to your right or left side. Trees will move by the other way.
It's possiblt that Hoshi was used to seeing the stars fly by in one direction for years on end. When the stars suddenly move the other way, it might not feel right.
For some people, this is a true problem and might cause sickness. When sitting in a train, some people need to see the trees go by te right way (as if they are moving forward). If tey don't do so, they really become sick.
