In Deep Space 9 , Slaon mentioned that S31 was part of the original Starfleet Charter. This organization has been around since the formation of the Federation and possible Starfleet. Will some mention of this be made in the show?
Wait? Why am I asking this. By showing S31 we would have continiuty but we can't have that. 
Actually I think its existence is secret until DS9 and if Archer and the crew stumbles on it then it wouln't be a secret. Argh im conflicted. What do you all think?

Sisko mentioned that Starfleet could not confirm nor deny that they exist, so I am guessing there was speculation among the brass. That doesn't mean there was not potential for something to happen, maybe limited in such a way so that only Archer would know about it and Starfleet would openly deny. (Hell, I would love it if Admiral Forrest was a coverup agent for Section 31, sorta like how Admiral Ross was in DS9...  )

I dont think it should be shown. It propaly doesnt exisit this timeline of this series.

I'm undecided. The writers could get around it but it might take the limelight away from Sisko on that discovery.

I think that they could definently come up with a good story to bring section 31 into the series. But since they didn't do it on voyager, i don't think that they would do it here.

Yeah! They should make one! It would give me some incentive to watch ENT. I was always told it wasn't the greatest so I didn't watch it to ruin what Trek had already given me. But if they did some Section 31, I would definately watch it!
Yes, it was in the original Starfleet charter, so it has been around since before the formation of the Federation. So yes, they do exist in this time!
