Thu Nov 18, 2004 3:07 pm My ideas for Trek movies |
|
In all honesty, I don't think there should be another Trek series for a LONG, LONG time when ENT finishes. As for movies, I wouldn't mind one last outing for the TNG crew or a DS9/VOY movie. But, not for awhile, eh?
Let's post some light-hearted ideas for Trek movies. Please, nothing serious. Be silly.
Mine would be a TOS movie set between The Undiscovered Country and Generations.
The movie would be...
DR. YES
Starfleet send Captain Kirk on a solo mission to a steamy island planet, where mysterious waves of energy are interfering with starship launches. Kirk meets a beautiful young lady in a bikini, named Honey. She helps him take on Dr. Yes, a fanatical villain, bent on universal domination and the subjugation of ALL living beings. Only Captain Kirk and Honey can stop him.

Do I smell a bit of a certain 20th-century fictional British spy in this?

Nope. Must be a coincidence. I don't know any fictional British spies.
Here's another movie...
From Kronus With Love
The Klingon Empire seek revenge on Kirk for...well, no reason, they just want to kill him. They decide to lure him to his death, the bait being a Klingon encryption machine, which Starfleet are anxious to get hold of. Kirk must take on a big, hulking Klingon spy and a Klingon female with poison-tipped shoes. Helping Kirk is a female Klingon, a defector who wishes to join Starfleet. Only they can stop the Klingon Empire.

I'm bored, I'm depressed. So, here's some more Trek movies. Set between The Undiscovered Country and Kirk's apparant death on the Enterprise in Generations.
SILVERFINGER
A powerful Romulan called Silverfinger has plans to obliterate the world economy (I know, I know, they don't have money in the 23rd century). It's another solo mission for Captain Kirk. Given a new Enterprise (with a smoke screen and an ejector seat), Kirk goes out to battle Silverfinger and his henchman, OddMan, a mute bowler-hat wearing Romulan.
Helping Kirk out is ***** Galore, a sexy young Romulan, torn between Silverfinger and Kirk.
THUNDERTREK
The Klingon Empire hijack two nuclear bombs, which they plan to detonate on Earth, unless Starfleet pays them $1,000,000 (what good a million bucks will be to The Klingons is beyond me). Starfleet sends all it's Captains out into space to combat the threat. But only Captain Kirk can beat The Klingons.
KIRK ONLY LIVES TWICE
A Starfleet capsule is swallowed up by what appears to be a Vulcan starship. This brings Starfleet into conflict with The Vulcans. Captain Kirk travels to Kronus to investigate, believing it to be a Klingon plot to initiate a war between Earth and The Vulcans. Captain Kirk must race against time to prevent war and face a mysterious Klingon, always seen striking a white cat.
ON KIRK'S SECRET SERVICE
Captain Kirk continues his mission to track down the Klingon from the previous film. The Klingon develops a virus and threatens to unleash it upon the galaxy unless he receives a pardon for crimes against Starfleet. Kirk decides to marry his way into a Romulan crime syndicate in order to get information on The Klingon's whereabouts. Can Kirk save the day again?
STARSHIPS ARE FOREVER
Still on the trail of the Klingon foe from the previous two movies, Kirk is recalled by Starfleet. Starfleet are concerned about the theft of diamonds from South African mines. Kirk goes undercover as a diamond smuggler and this leads him to Las Vegas, America. There, he discovers The Klingon running a casino and involved in diamond smuggling. Can Kirk defeat his foe forever?

How about some TNG movies instead?
LIVE AND LET TREK
Starfleet sends Picard on a solo mission to a planet, to investigate the deaths of three Starfleet Captains. He comes across Mr. Big, a humanoid drug dealer and a Cardassian who owns a small exotic island. It soon turns out that Mr. Big and The Cardassian are one and the same and that the Cardassian wants to monopolize drug distribution. With the aid of a beautiful young psychic Bajoran, Picard battles voodoo and hungry crocodiles to bring peace to the galaxy.
THE BORG WITH THE GOLDEN PHASER
A Borg assassin is linked to the death of a scientist working on a powerful solar cell. The Borg assassin also sends a message to Starfleet, saying he wants Picard dead. Picard tracks down The Borg assassin, who is armed with a golden phaser, and matches wits against him.

These are TOO funny!
I can just picture it... "Kirk...James Kirk." Or "Picard...Jean-Luc Picard," but Picard just doesn't flow...
But I LOVE these ideas! Bond is great, Trek is great, combining the two...Well, yeah.
Or the Goldencube (Goldeneye) perhaps. And "The Galaxy is Not Enought." And "Kirk, Die Another Day."

Nice post, Republican Man.
Since I'm bored...
THE CAPTAIN WHO LOVED ME
Starfleet and The Cardassians are concerned when a starship from each of their people disappears. The only link is a microfilm, detailing the movements of Starfleet ships. Captain Picard teams up with a female Cardassian, whose lover he previously killed. Together, they battle a rogue Ferengi who wishes to create an underwater civilization on various planets (for the right price, of course). Not totally trusting each other, Picard and the Cardassian female team up to stop the Ferengi and also tackle a 7 foot Romulan with metal jaws.

Do we have to combine Star Trek with James Bond?
The Captain of the Ring: The Starfleet Crew of the Ring
Captain Picard discovers an ancient ring that holds a dark secret in an exavation site. Picard hands down the ring to his right hand man, Riker. They discover the ring is evil and must be destroyed. Unfortunetly it can only be destroyed by throwing it into the burning fire of the Pah Wraith's Fire Caves. Meanwhile the Pah Wraith desperatly seek a way to escape their prison and sending mindless Borg to stop Riker's quest. They also send 10 Bajoran extremists that were corrupted by their power. Picard seeks the aide of his friend,Worf-Ambassador to the Klingons, to help with this quest. The Federation sends Riker and a crew of various species, in the Enterprise, to destroy the Ring....
The Captain of the Ring: The Two Starships
The Crew continue to fly to Bajor and seek out the Fire Caves. Meanwhile Picard discovers that Worf is allied with the Pah Wraith and is helping them breed an army of Half Klingon/Half Jem'Hadar to stop Riker and the Federation. Riker and Deanna, now split away from the crew for the protection of the Ring, must venture alone in a shuttle to Bajor. They become lost in the Badlands. The Crew meets up with the crew of the Defiant and they join the fight against the Borg. They get holed up near Cardassia and fight the Borg. Picard arrives at the nic of time with the Federation Fleet and defeat the Borg. Riker and Deanna encounter a mutated Vulcan who was corrupted by the power of the Ring. He guides them through the Badlands and towards Bajor......
The Captain of the Ring: The Return of the Enterprise
The fleet mobilize at Earth to fight back the Borg invasion fleet. The Pah Wraiths move closer and closer to their freedom. Riker, Deanna, and the mutated Vulcan reach Bajor but turmoil ensues. Will the Ring be destroyed?

Nice one, Founder. No, it doesn't have to be Trek/James Bond. Combine Trek with anything you want.

Star Trek Nights: By day, Commander Lance MacIntyre (played by David Hasselloff) is a straight-arrow first officer of a Starship, but when he's off duty, he becomes something else, Detective Lance MacIntyre! Him and his partner Lt. Cmdr. Sherley "Girly Shirley" Monroe hunt down alien fugitives for the bounty money. When they aren't serving on their starships or chasing down criminals, they're on a holographic L.A. beach, soaking in the sun and doing what they do best, act like cheesy characters from Baywatch.
