They actually come on on the 27th for me, I have yet to watch any of them but I plan on watching this Next week,
Having a hott chick and SciFi mixed together is the best thing alive to on the face of this planet!
I am going to plan on seting my VCR up to record all three of them, They come on one after another on SciFi at 4pm, Nov. 27th (At lest for me they do!)
I have heard a lot of good from the first one, I hope that they second and third movies do not destory what the first one created. Some times when you watch movies that have sequals it ruins the entire plot line for good.
Upon your question as to why they would make the movie, I think they are just trying to bring in more SciFi fans, both Star Trek and Andromeda are slowly fading away (Same with many other shows). SciFi needs to bring in more fans, so the best way to do that would be a hott chick with SciFi on for 6 hours, Heh, I'm fine with that 100%
