I enjoy it because they explore alot of different heritages of races. Android, Romulan, Klingon, Betazoid, etc.

Im so sad! The station that plays Star Trek The Next Generation here in Portland, Oregon (WB32) is turning it off this fall. They are having a big thing to submit your favorite episode for the final showing. I am really going to miss my Star Trek 6 days a week.

I have Star Trek Seven days a week! There is two back-to-back episodes of TNG followed by an episode of Voyager every week day starting at one in the afternoon. The, on Saturday there is an episode on TNG on at 10 at night followed by DS9. Then on Sunday, and eight, they show the same episode of Voyager that was on on Wendsday.

While I love anything Star Trek, TNG was my favorite because its stories were unique and held up on their own. TNG had the best and most stable writing team. I'll admit the first season and part of the second was hard to watch but it got infinitely better. DS9 was successful after Worf was transferred from TNG. Could it have held up on its own? The answer is yes, even though it was by far the least successful (ratings wise) of all Treks (by the way I loved DS9).Voyager was good BUT (and thre's always a BUT) Voyager had problems from day one. I've seen every episode and they threw away so much that was already canon in Star Trek. Example, The Borg, they totally ruined EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING that was canon about the Borg. I never bought the one starship can beat the Borg EVERY week after Seven came to the show. Also Voyager relied FAR too much on the Borg. Every other week there was a new Borg story or they worked in the Borg somehow. With all the diverse races we never saw in the Delta Quadrant why rely on the Borg so much? One simple answer, RATINGS! So many missed opportunities on Voyager with new races and internal issues and so many other things we never saw. I'm hoping Enterprise doesn't miss as many opportunuties.

I agree about the Borg. It was getting monotonous seeing them over and over again. They were in a whole new quadrant, yes, it is where the Borg are from, but still, there was so much that they didn't do.

I think that TNG is tolerable, but never really got into it.

I agree with what captain Michael Pike said about TNG and DS9. That they held up there own.

I would also like to add the fact that TNG set alot of the standards of the 24th century. (As did TOS for all of Startrek, ofcourse).

I loved Voyager too, but I didnt like the fact that the Borg were so weak compared to TNG.

I mean the Borg in TNG, made it all the way to Earth, twice.

The Borg in voyager were defeated by one ship.

Voyager would have been a better series if they had made fresh new villains to battle with like a huge Krenim empire, or the recurence of 8472. 2-4 episodes with the Borg would have been Ok, but it was overkill what Voyager did. Besides, I bet that if they had more 8472 epsisodes, they would have had just as much ratings.

I also grew up watching TNG. I was able to relate a lot easier to TNG than TOS. I like TNG, but I dont care too much for picard.

Personally, jmo, the TNG movies were better than any of the episodes, or just about any of the episodes.

I liked TNG because the appearance of Q and the Klingons in alliance with the federation and even assisted picard on a few occasions. Then the Borg appearance which was awesome.I think without TNG all the events that lead to the other star trek series would be stale. I have to say that I like TNG even though ive seen it 50,000 times it seems like.
