I can't see Pierce Brosnan in a Star Trek uniform. Sorry. Though, with Riker, it's perfect. I think we've had enough of Picard, so why not move the focus over to Riker on his ship?

Go with Riker. Add an old character from, say, Voyager or DS9, perhaps Harry, and of course Deana would be in it since she's Riker's husband.
It would be cool to see the Titan's adventures...
Or, perhaps, a new ship and new crew with MAYBE ONE returning character, perhaps Captain Chakotay?

Personally, I think we've had enough male captains--onto another female captain! But the idea of Pierce Brosnan being a captain in Star Trek cracks me up. Honestly, if Riker were captain, couldn't watch it--can't stand him.

What about another Kathryn Janeway!? All there ever has been is men besides her, and since this is 300 yrs into the future you think there'd be a lot more equality between the two so there should be just as many women captaining as men.. Looks like we've got quite a few more Trek episodes to go before they catch up

Well since I think that Commander Chakotay (who would have been my choice for next captain) is probably going to go into some kind of teaching in Starfleet or maybe leave Starfleet alltogether, my choice and vote is for another unknown actor. Star Trek does a good job picking them.
