Quote:

Moore to shoot sequel to 'Fahrenheit'

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Michael Moore plans a follow-up to "Fahrenheit 9/11," his hit documentary that assails President Bush over the handling of the September 11 attacks and the war on terrorism, according to a Hollywood trade paper.

Moore told Daily Variety that he and Harvey Weinstein, the Miramax boss who produced the film, hope to have "Fahrenheit 9/11 1/2" ready in two to three years.

"Fifty-one percent of the American people lacked information (in this election) and we want to educate and enlighten them," Moore was quoted in Thursday's edition of Variety. "They weren't told the truth. We're communicators and it's up to us to start doing it now."

A spokesman for Fellowship Adventure Group, formed by Weinstein and brother Bob to help distribute "Fahrenheit 9/11," did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

"Fahrenheit 9/11," which won top honors at May's Cannes Film Festival, became the first documentary to top $100 million at the domestic box office. Moore, who won the documentary Academy Award for "Bowling for Columbine," is pushing "Fahrenheit 9/11" in the best-picture category for the upcoming Oscars.

The issues for the follow-up film will remain the same, Iraq and terrorism, Moore said.

"The official mourning period is over today and there is a silver lining: George W. Bush is prohibited by law from running again," Moore said.

It was a documentary. It might've been biased, but it was a documentary.

Note to Michael Moore: PEOPLE LOVE YOU.
Note to Dubya: PEOPLE HATE YOU.

It was a documentary. It was lousy, and biased like hell, but it did have plenty of good points.

Just remember this, the more people say they hate it and other people shouldn't see it than the more people will want to see it. My advice just let it go. But what someone said does have a point. If so many people hate Micheal Moore than why was it his movie was one of the best this last summer?

It's easy to attack people on their physical appereance, isn't it? I think it's very low to do such a thing. Allright, you don't like his documentary's/movies, but just comment on that.
Imagine someone would judge you on you appereance. Nice thought, ey?

Micheal Moore should not have the right to say the things he does.

In fact, he doesn't. Slander IS illegal.

Moore lies. PERIOD.

Where does the constitution give the right to slander?

Slander is illegal in this country. Plain and simple. Free speech is only guaranteed so long as what you are saying is true.

How do you mean by best? If you mean the most seen then the left wing people went to see what was being said about Bush so they can use it in arguments, and the right wing people wanted to see it to show how it was wrong.

My, my my! A Documentary! A Documentary! To quote Ed Koch, former Mayor of NYC, "It's not a Documentary. It's a LIE."
And you've got it the other way around. It REALLY should be
Note to Michael Moore: PEOPLE HATE YOU.
Note to Dubya: PEOPLE LOVE YOU.

NOT the other way. More people like Bush than Moore.

Yes, he IS! They are seeing it because they
A) Are Liberal Bush haters and want to see it on film.
B) Want to be able to debate their Liberal friends.
C) Want to see what the fuss is about.

Michael Savage thinks he should be arrested. I say, GO SAVAGE. It's one thing to discredit someone, or examine the government. What he does is HORRIBLE, and it is NOT a documentary. A documentary implies that it was done truthfully, or could be used somewhere neutral, like maybe a school or something. That is NO documentary. It was all an opinion based on lies and distortions.

Thats kinda true about the first part. People will want to see the what the fuss is about. Thats the only reason so many people went to see it. It became really controversial.

Yes it is. Especially him.

Funny you say that isn't it? Im sure you wouldn't be so angry if someone were to say Bush looked like an ugly monkey....

He is a liar plain and simple. I don't think he should be arrested though. Hes just a dumbass with too much money. I didn't see it to tell you the truth. I couldn't bare to give that fat man money. I heard enough about it. I say FarenHype 9/11 which showed alot of Farenheit 9/11. When I saw the part where Moore was like "There is no Terrorist threat." I was like "Wow...."

Oh my!!! You poor innocent children!! It IS true. Slanted? Yes, everything usually is, but for the most part, it's all real.

Also, I think the most accurate statement would be:
Note to Michael Moore: People love you!; People hate you!
Note to Dubya: People love you!; People hate you!

That wasn't in Fahrenheit, though, but YEAH.

It's TRUE! How is Moore's film TRUE. It is almost everything BUT true! It's a LIE.
And yes, you're right in that last part.

But truth is subjective and entirely dependent on common frames of references, previous biases, and subjective interpretations on the part of not only the director, but even the person being interviewed.

Therefore, neither perspective will ever admit that Fahrenheit or FahrenHype are accurate accounts

No, no, no! Fahrenheit IS lies. It truly is. It's NOT "perspective." It is NOT FACT. That's what I mean by truth--FACT. He either lies or distorts the truth! My gosh, you just don't seem to understand it...
