Check out the link. It explains everything...

Even if the information proves not to be true, ENT will be on DVD eventually. I just wish they'd release the Animated Series too!

I agree. I've said this before. Paramount have really took advantage of it haven't they?

The only ones I have brought are TOS because it's my favourite series. Even then, I waited for a reduction. They're making 100% profit on them (okay, slight exaggeration there).

TNG, DS9 & VOY I will rent. But the prices are not sensible at all.

Amazon.co.uk does have Seasons 1-4 available on pre-order:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/202-5671814-4633461

Season 1: May 9th 2005
Season 2: June 6th 2005
Season 3: August 1st 2005
Season 4: October 3rd 2005

Their current prices offer 25% off the RRP but even so, to get them all (bearing in mind that they all seem to be coming out within a few months) would put a rather large dent in your bank account...

Thanks for posting that, Delta Flyer.

Yes, Paramount have took advantage of the fandom, with prices like that. You'd need to take out a second mortgage to afford them.

I'll buy TOS boxsets because I like TOS (I could watch them over and over again) and some of the movies. I've seen all of TNG as it's been repeated on TV so many times. Still need to see latter seasons of DS9 and VOY. But I won't buy boxsets. I'll rent the individual discs. I am a member of http://www.lovefilm.com which lets you rent virtually any DVD available in the UK. It is an affordable way to rent discs that comprise season boxsets.

Anyone who can afford season boxsets for ALL Trek shows must have money to burn!

It doesn't seem like Paramount is expecting an 5th season of ENT, oh well.

I'd honestly love to buy season sets of both Voyager and Enterprise, but they're just too expensive. I have a low income, and the DVD sets are about $120 (CDN) each up here, after rent and internet and such, that's about a third of my monthly income, I just can't afford it. Even season of The Shield (I own both) which are about $75 CDN up here, were a bit hard to come by. If Paramount dropped the prices down to maybe about $60-$80 CDN I'd consider buying them but seriously, It's easier for me to just put fourth the effort of taping episodes.

Yes, I think a lot of people could consider it if Paramount dropped the prices.

I can barely afford TOS Seasons 1-3. I do buy other boxsets too. But a big studio like Paramount (or any studio) should think of the fans who have supported them.

Look at George Lucas. He knows he could have charged much more than he did for the Original Trilogy because people would have paid it. Instead, we got a very reasonable price.

I know, I was expecting to Star Wars trilogy to be about $70, but instead it ended up being $55, so I picked it up a few days after it came out. Paramount should just realize that not everyone can afford to pay and arm and a leg for season. Maybe ENT will be cheaper because of it's lack of popularity, but I doubt it. In fact, that would actually be a good idea for Paramount to do. ENT isn't exactly bursting with leigons of devoted fans, I like the series, but I know most people don't So a lower price point could actually help it sell, since I don't see alot of people buying it.

The other thing is that in some cases, you have to buy two season boxsets, due to the cliffhanger season finales. If you only wanted, say, "The Best Of Both Worlds" from TNG, then you'd have to buy two season boxsets.

I like the show and feel it has improved. But it's hardly set the world alight, I cannot envision people talking about it with joy in ten years time. I can't see people paying the same prices as TNG, DS9 and VOY.
