In an episode ("The Forgotten", I believe), a plasma fire started on the hull. However, seeing as they're in space, wouldn't it be impossible for there to be a fire considering there's no oxygen in space? Or is a plasma fire different than a regular one?

Yeah, that makes sense. Plus, if it was a plasma fire, plasma is increadibly flamable. If I'm not mistaken, I believe our own sun produces plasma gas in space.
