Or clone wars...lol, just kidding...
If they make a prequel movie it better be Star Trek 0...instead of 11 - don't screw with the numbers!!!!! They'd think I was crazy though...plus the title sounds cool (never know, might attact people)...

I'm really not in favor of this, but that's because I find the Romulans to be probably the most uninteresting species in the Trek universe.

Well the projected release date for this Star Trek film is 2007, meaning it'll probably come out around 2008. If it came out in the fall of 2008, Enterprise would have finished it's 7 season run several months earlier. That is of course, if Enterprise lasts that long.

Some very good ideas here but I really hope the next movie is a TNG one. Nemesis wasn't the greatest of movies, I want a proper send-off for the TNG crew, preferably with Q in, as I said in another topic.
There have been four TNG movies. Generations wasn't too bad but could have been better. First Contact was simply excellent. Insurrection and Nemesis weren't too bad but they had TV movie-style plots, IMO. That's why I want the next movie to be TNG, so it can go out on a high.

Much like how the TOS cast went off with The Undescovered Country, which is one fo the best Trek films, in my opinion.

Yes, my friend. My favourite Trek movie is probably The Voyage Home but The Undiscovered Country is just one eventful ride from start to finish, perhaps the last great Trek movie. I don't think any Trek movie since has topped it but thats just my opinion.

First Contact did, but none of the others.

Yes, I think you're right. But Generations, Insurrection and Nemesis could have been so much more. They weren't too bad but the last two TNG movies certainly had a TV movie/episodic feel to them, in my opinion.

You can find the information HERE. It's the last large post on page 2 titled "Jendresen: Star Trek Needs Epic Adventure "
The new movie is set appox 80 years before Kirk. It is set to be completed in 2007.

Don't call me a pessimist, but this depresses me.

I've heard about a Romulan War movie. And I've seen articles on this elsewhere and posted articles on it here.
But I don't like this idea.

Untill recently, I saw on IMDB that there was supposed to be a romulan war story in the next movie. that plot line is gone though. so it may have changed

Much of this site seems to be, its quite true. However, be careful not to assume that this site is representative of Trek fandom as a whole----there are other sites where the primary voice is in favor of a DS9 movie, or an ENT movie, or whatnot. |
I think they should make a movie with both Voyager and DS9 combined. That would be a lot of people, but it would be very interesting.

Uhum, we want a Voyager movie? No, you and some other Voyager fans want a Voyager movie, but i think it's better if they make a DS9 movie.
