Btw, Bush has the LARGEST POPULAR VOTE IN THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY, even BIGGER than Reagan!

Have you looked at a list of American elections? America has a significantly bigger population that can vote than it did prior to about the 50s. If you take a look at the ratios or the margin of victory in earlier elections, such as Warren Harding's election, you will find that you are wrong.

I love that Bush only won Texas by 61%!!! Granted my vote didn't do much good, but it did help show that almost half of, "Bush Country," isn't so... "Bushy," after all.

...um...well, I don't know ALL the statistics from past elections. However, Bush won by a huge amount, and 52% of the popular vote at that. (Can't remember the exact number of votes between him and Kerry, but a lot) Really, more than a point or two between the candidates is considered a HUGE margin. Clinton won on less of a percentage than Bush did, so that's a little perspective. Whether he had the biggest amount in history or not, or whether you like the perspective or not, he won in a landslide in the popular vote as far as American elections go.

And if Texas turns blue for some freak reason, I'm going to be over here turning California red. Kerry won by only a minor percentage here, it's not incredibly overwhelming...I have a chance...

Yes, but that's only in the past 10-5 years. The numbers are pretty interesting in some of the 1920-50 elections...
