i really didn't want bush, personally, and kerry wasn't all that great either....so, i think we should vote nader, '08!! anyhow, what's the deal with him anyways? why does he run if nobody votes for him, and why doesn't anyone vote for him?

He runs either because he's insane enough to think he has a chance, he wants to give people a better alternative to the traditional Republican-Democrat battle, or a little of both.
Approx. 1% of people voted for him.
Think about it . . . although he's had a lot more publicity than many of the other candidates, he still wasn't included in the debates. I've seen a lot of ads on the American channels for Kerry or Bush, but none for Nader. He just doesn't have the backbone for a campaign, Independents seldom do because they don't have an entire party backing them up.
