but there must be diffent types of quantum torpedoes.
The defiant fires 2 or 3 on a simple cardassian warship and disables it without causing any serious hulldamage. Enterprise fires 4 on a borg sphere and destroys it entirely. I think the borg sphere is a lot more powerful than the cardassian warship, and enterprises quantums looks much more bigger and rectangual than the defiants. the defiants quantum just looks like white/blue bolts.
