My parents stopped sensoring me from music and most other things when I was 12. And 18? Isn't that a little high? I'm not quite 18 yet and I listen to tons of things with lyrics that you would hate.

No, it's not high.

I find it funny how people are so up in arms about a person using his rights to demonstrate against the current president.

You people were fine when the swift vets for truth lied about Kerry's war record over and over.

If someone did a music video protesting kerry I guarentee you'd all post for everyone to watch it.

It is Eminem's right to make controvercial music vids, he's always done it. It's what keeps him popular on the charts. No matter how much people complain he is still protected by his constitutional rights to say what he wants as long as he doesn't go overboard.

I'm glad to see so many people against freedom of speech.

It's EVIL! It's pushing for the asassination of the President!

250 Vets lying? Half and half.

Sure, if it was just PROTESTING Kerry. But using bad language and pushing for an assassination and doing the kind of thing Eminem does in his music video, NO. That is NOT in my character, and I would be the FIRST to oppose it!

Against freedom of speech! I am NOT against freedom of speech! I'm against the facts of what this man portrays in his song(s) and music video(s)! It's amazing how you Liberals interperet things.

Once again I'd like to make it clear that no where in the song does Eminem call for the assassination of Bush.

FMA. Though some of his music is rather brilliant, Eminem himself is an idiot. And I'd think he was an idiot even if he did the same thing to Kerry. Hollywood thinks they have some right to speak their minds that the rest of us don't. And sure we all have the freedom of speech, but if some kid went out on the side of the road and sang the same kind of thing he'd be sacked.

I've watched it and it never says to assassinate the president, nore does it push it. Different people interperate different things, but you have yet to watch it so you cant really talk.

Hmm... I do seem to remember Kerry's old war mates debunking more then half of what the swift vets for "truth" said about him.

Again, you haven't seen it, it doesn't portray anything about assassination.

Lets see now:
1. It's his right to make these videos and write this music
2. you want to censor his music because it goes against what you believe.

How am I interpreting this wrong?

Please, people, ignore RM till he's watched the video. You can't discuss about something you don't know anything about, RM. At least read the lyric before you start yelling Eminem pushes the assasination of Bush.
By the way, why should, for example, a fifteen year-old not listen to a song which says "F*ck Bush?". It's just plain disgusting you say that. "Ooh, I have to protect the little children of this country so that they will all be nice and keen and kind and polite, no matter what the situation is. I don't wan't them do say "F*ck you" to Osama if he kidnaps them, now do I?"

It's interesting to see so many people debate about such a trivial matter . . .

Meh, to do anything less than allow these lyrics to circulate would be . . . censoring . . . and if we take Freedom of Speech, then go ahead and promote anti-Bush feelings. Anti-Kerry feelings are in the air too here.

In an election that has been drowned with more propaganda and fear-mongering than anything I have seen since the NHL Hockey Lockout, this sort of ad is expected. It doesn't mean we should condemn it--it may be unsavoury, but what else are you going to do?

Free speech. There's been a lot of books, stories, plays, movies, about assassinating world leaders. Should we burn every book that implies a world leader should be assassinated? Eminem is expressing his opinion--and yes, it is an influential one, but that doesn't mean he should shout it into a corner for no one to hear. Opinions are about being heard.

Now, I haven't watched the video, I don't intend to watch the video, and I should probably go off and write my literacy test now. But you're condemning something just because it is distasteful. From what I've seen, it isn't half as distasteful as what's been going on throughout the rest of the election--and I've probably seen only about half as much as the rest of you have, since I live in Canada

I watched the video. It's controversial, but that's Eminem's style. Thats what he does, and that's what makes him unique.

And how does this video push for an assasination againt President Bush? Hm? It doesn't. The people in black storming the White House are going in there to VOTE. People, what Eminem is trying to do here is make more people vote. And of course, he wants them to vote for Kerry, because thats who he supports.

It's his right to do this. I don't know the American Constitution, but Freedom of Speech seems to be valued in America.

In some cases, though, it's only valued when your opinion is "right".

Alright, come on! I saw it, okay, and I do NOT think that I needed to see it!
It is PROPAGANDA.
Those Newspaper clippings: WRONG and BAD.
And the picture of President Bush with a knife going through his head is OVER THE LINE! That is EVIL. That is just before they storm on the white house. You REALLY think that they're just going to "VOTE"? If so, you're crazy!
And when they were storming it, they looked ANGRY and were shouting etc.
Recognize this:

That picture in and of itself is WRONG. It is EVIL. What the heck do you think he's doing with it? And that's what he's using his freedom of speech for?

It is a HORRIBLE and EVIL slanderous attack on this President! I disagree that I had to watch this piece of sh*t. (No, I'm not opposed to bad language when it's due, although I've hardly said and written these words, and I've only said the F-word twice about Hitler.)

This needs to be taken off the air (and I would say the same thing if it was Kerry, Clinton, Carter, Soros or even Moore) And I don't think it's an "infringement of his freedom of speech." NO.

Remember: They are storming the White House to KILL THE PRESIDENT, FOR GOD SAKE! The only reason why they changed it to say "sign in to vote" is to push forth more of a message to vote against the President. But the real intention was murder. I just know it. It can be seen by the Knife & Bush picture.

Perhaps you missed when they signed the piece of paper, after entering the White House that said 'Sign to Vote'?

It's meant for his fans, and the people who listen to this crap music ( ) and this is the kind of thing they respond to. He is encouraging people like him to vote, and they think very differently from how you think.

I don't give a damn about that, and I did see the "Sign to Vote" thing, but that's just crap. This whole thing is crap. It is a pure EVIL way to get votes for another candidate. I don't give a damn who it's meant for.

Hmm just watched it today, controversial indeed.

Well first of all, In all honest I do firmly believe Republican Man that if in all fairness it was a previous Democrat President like Clinton or the Democrat Candidate John Kerry who was being slandered in the Music Video, that you would be defending Eminem in world news right now, and if you can honestly hold up your hand to the God you believe in and tell us that you wouldn't then, I'd take back this statement back and leave it to your consience.

Secondly, I personally do not like Eminem, although his Lyrical Talents exceed that of many other Rappers we see today and probably ever will see, he is overly critical of others who have worked to get where they are whilst he had made an easy lifestyle for himself by simply carrying out a personal hobby of his. I would be lying if I were to say, I thought Eminem was anything other than a Wannabe "Niggha" and I use that word in the context it has assumed today- a Cool to be Black Gangster status that today, the mainstream Hip Hop world revolves around and a culture that is now spreading to many White Kids in the US and America. I have always been a fan of Hip Hop and Rap Music, but I have retreated to only listening to Underground Political Rap which does not constantly revolve around how it's cool to a PIMP like all the mainstream Rap Music we see today.

I believe Eminem should stick to what he knows best and leave those who have gone out and learnt about Politics to discuss Politics, as it is very claer that Eminem rarely has a clue about anyone he has viciously slandered in the past like the late Christopher Reeves who was a victim of Eminem simply because he was Paralysed from a Horse Riding Incident.

It is within Eminem's rights to produce this Video and Song and anyone who favours it is not "Evil", however I simply hope fans do realise Eminem has had a very basic Education and is by no means "qualified" to discuss Politics. I would also like to clarify No Republicans shall use this "You're a Blinded by Propaganda, Liberal" comment on me, I am clearly not a Liberal my views on Homosexuals and Abortions will clearly reflect that if anything the majority of people would class me as an "Extremist".

Thanks for saying that second part, but my god! You REALLY think that if it was done to Clinton or Kerry I wouldn't oppose it! NO! I DO honestly hold up my hand to God. I swear to God on the Holy Bible that I would. And that is a HUGE deal for a Catholic. If you swear to God even WITHOUT swearing on the Holy Bible, and lie, then it is bad, and unless you beg for forgiveness, you will go to hell. At least that's what I've been taught and believe.

Horrible! Also, the recent Michael Jackson video is HORRIBLE.

I don't think you are a blinded Liberal, but I do disagree with you that Eminem is not evil and those that think that this Music Video is tasteful and funny are evil as well, or they at least have a great evil in them, but are not as evil as Eminem. I strongly believe that. And I don't think you are an extremist on those issues. I agree with you on them.

You know, we should really lock this topic, because this is getting me FURIOUS! I do NOT want to be banned, and I can't not post in this topic, but I am on the verge of doing another incident like the one I did to Dappet on 9/11.

I guess you'll just have to control yourself. We can't go around locking topics because of what people want,

And there's nothing wrong with you thinking that someone is evil, just don't say it.

This topic wont be locked just because you do not agree with it. What if I don't agree with the topics that you have posted in other things and they make me furious? Should they all get locked?

The fact of the matter is, this song is out there, people are going to listen to it whether you think it is evil or not. Frankly it's annoying that you keep saying that Eminem is evil for stating his strong opinions. Something which you do quite often as well, state strong opinions. Does that make you evil? No, not at all. He has the right to sing about what he wants, it is his right. That is what a democracy is founded on. The rights of the people and the right to be vocal if you do not like the government that you have in place. I can see why you think that he is evil, but you must also realise, that some of this is also just his media persona. You honestly think Marilyn Manson or Alice Cooper walk around town like they do in music videos or concert? No. It's a persona. Eminem's views on the other hand may not be a part of his persona, but what he believes in, which is still his right.

I can't. And to the second thing, I have EVERY right to say so. If you like the video, then that's evil. Valathous likes it. That's evil. Sorry, I should have said, after thinking about it, that liking it or thinking that it's funny is evil, but that ONE thing doesn't make you evil. However, making the video, etc does.
Now, lock this someone. I am heated and I will be getting mad. Heck, I am mad. Furious.
Damn all of you who like this EVIL stuff and think it's funny! Damn you!
Damn all of you who think that if it's someone other than a Republican, I will think it's bad! Damn you! ::Begins to cry :: Damn you!
