They're kind of creepy.

Can I just say that I am glad people replied to this topic. You know, I joined this forum in December 2003, initially to talk about Trek. But I feel as though I've said everything I'm ever going to say about Trek and it's interesting to talk to people about their hobbies, pets, favourite sports, foods. It makes us feel more like a community.

Yeah, I usually buy new albums from Morrisons, as they all seem to be under 10 in supermarkets, compared with 12.99 in Woolworths or wherever.

Water. Most supermarkets "enhance" the meat with water. They try to get as much water into the meat as possible as water is cheaper than meat. As long as it's written on the package, it's legal and there's no harm for those who eat from it.

The problem is when you buy meat at a butchery. They don't write how much water has been added. Perhaps nothing is added; the fact is, you'll never know.

A few years ago, Belgium had this huge crisis concerning this. About 30% of all the meat in every supermarket in the entire country had to be taken away and burnt. Apparently, the huge factories that produced the meat added too much water and other stuff to hold even more water. After the "enhancement", the meat was distributed to supermarkets. I'll never know what I've been eating all those years... Oh well, I'm still alive and what's done is done right?
