Really weird, we don't have that kinda stuff on schools here in Holland. No clubs, when school is finished, school is just finished. You go home, drink something, and do stuff for yourself. Sports? At school? Nop, only P.E., but that's about it. So....

That kinda of sucks.........if we did not have any of those things over here, students would be un able to make it through school without going insane.

^ Well, that's what's going one here. Many kids are dropping out of school because they really don't like it. They're like 15, and when they're at home or trying to find a job, they find out that no company wants to have them because they don't have an education. Very sad. And our government isn't really helping to solve this problem.
Well, they are trying to make sports more popular among teenagers, but it would have to take some time.
What you said: the teens over there are used to it, we, on the contrary, are not. We don't know any better.
But I can imagine that you couldn't picture school-life there without sports or clubs

Are you serious? Thats a real problem.....the next generation dropping of of school at age of 15, that might prove some serious problems in the future. Over here, the government actually pays schools so they will have clubs....sports....etc....

^ Yeah, I know, it's horrible. Over here, the teens want to get rich as fast as possible. The only problem is, they think it can be done without an education, ... Which is not reality. I find it also very sad and a very big problem. Schools are not paying enough attention to their students and there is not enough support and supervision for them.
But anywayz, I'm going too much offtopic.. I think it would be for the best if the government would spend a lot of money on schools to develop an after-school program..

Nope! I play basketball and soccer.
I'm not a member of any clubs though, I'm not too fond of any of the ones offered at my school.

My school (A High School) doesn't have any Star Trek clubs- very depressing. However, I am a member of the Robotics and Forensics teams.

I used to do sports at my last school. The only two that I'd actually play, they don't have,

If a school in Michigan has a LaCrosse team, a Star Trek team certainly isn't out of the question.

I live in NZ and we have some cool clubs at my school. I am one of the head students of the Astronomy club, and I'm also an editor for the school year book this year. There are Chiors and sports clubs, a chess club, a creative writing club and there are things that students choose to organise. Like I'm part of a study group that runs in the last 2 terms of school. But most students in NZ work, so not many have time to participate in more than one club. I work in a cafe on Saturday and Sunday. Most students get taxed 19%. Most students actually get their tax back from the government, well most of it. There is an ACC charge taken out of your total tax, but that's only like $10 out of every $100 taxed, I think. There is one reason why I like NZ!!!

marching band, marching band... does that count? well... it does now. I was section leader last year! The Glory Days are over... or at least... they'll come to their final close once WENZEL has her day. witch.
Anyway, I was also "el capitan" of the percussion ensemble... and that counts as a club now too.
hey mark, I kept looking for a star trek club at all the schools I'v been looking at and no one has one! I was really surprised that especially a big school like CSU didn't have one anyway. I was thinking about starting one at St. Olaf next year... The St. Olaf Star Trek Club? I think so

The name of my school is Oregon Institute of Technology. Who likes this?
Oregon Institute of Trekkies!!!
I need 4 people to commit to joining by Monday. They have a meeting for clubs, and I have to go to 3 meetings in a row, to get my $300. So I need a fourth person, since I have 3. There was a guy playing DS9 really loud on his huge TV all day today, but he didnt want to join! I was sad. Oh well, the hunt continues.

My friends and I have made our own little Star Trek club. My friends Eileen and I wear our comm badges on our pockets, then when we're texting in class we go *Emma to Eileen* HI *Emma out*

Well, I am a part of our Marching Band- I have to go to the Reeths Puffer Invitational today. And, it is pouring rain here... But, it should be good if the rain lets up a little. I am on the Clarinet Line (A type of club in the Band) and I am planning on becoming a Drum Major next year.

I haven' exactly joined any "clubs" where I go to school. (Too many older people) Though, if it counts for anything, I take Jazz class on campus, which does technically do perfomances as our final. It's about as close as I've gotten. If I could find a debate team of some sort, I'd probably join, but I haven't gone looking...
