PostWed Oct 20, 2004 6:03 pm    New Superman Actor

This is hardly new news, it broke a couple of days ago. But here's the link...

http://www.superherohype.com/news/supermannews.php?id=2125

He certainly looks the part and I wish the problem-plagued Superman movie all the luck in the world. But I am not convinced that ANYONE can ever equal or top Chris Reeve's definitive portrayal of Superman.

I'm a big fan of the Superman movies, including the much-hated fourth movie. Okay, the fourth movie had a lower budget and was rushed together but it still had plenty of action, and a good anti-nuclear, political storyline, to make it a pretty good movie.

However, I shall judge any new Superman movie entirely on it's own merits. I hope it knocks my socks off!

I wasn't aware of that, friend. I only skimmed through the article and assumed that he had signed as Superman.

Thanks for clarifying it.

That rumour did do the rounds for awhile. I'm not sure if Fraser was ever interested. Whatever happens, I don't think Fraser will play any part in the Superman movie.

Well, Dean Cain stopped playing Superman when the show Lois & Clark was cancelled in 1997. And that was a TV show. This new Superman project is a theatrical movie so I guess in that sense, the new actor isn't replacing anyone. It's a fresh start for the Superman Universe.

He does look like a Super-Man figure to me.

Rgarding Lois & Cark, I always watched it and was sad to see it go. What became of Dean?

He has only had moderate success. I've seen him in a couple of TV movies and he did a few TV appearances. But nothing major.

He certainly looks the part.

So, Belanna1985, you think he's cute. But what do you think of Superman wearing his underwear on the outside?

Yeah, that's kinda funny.. when I was younger I watched Lois & Clark any time I could, I thought it was great
But.. I think it's kinda sexy. But only superman should do that, if someone else does it, it's not sexy anymore
