it's about time we saw lot's more alian's in the trek uni that don't speak English and don't look human with bits stuck on.

If you want that they have to animate it because you can act with a piece missing from you're head. Bsides, Species 8472 doesn't look very human too me, neighter do the aquatic and insectoid xindi.

Species 8472 was animation fx and that's what I was suggesting trek needs more off. Ok it'll cost more but the shows are surely succesfull.

you are probably right, but i'm glad they didn't animate alien species in ST:TOS and ST:TNG, because back then the special effects where bad! (althought the borg worked out nicely)

Well, TOS used glimmering light fx which althouge simple and cheap were at least none human in appearance.
