I read alot of magazines, and i think that some covers of magazines are sooo stupid. they have their so called ''perfect'' model and then they airbrush her to make her look anorexic. WHATS THE POINT???? they are just making young girls feel bad about their looks. and then we have a bunch of 12 and 13 year old girls goin around sayin that their fat unlike the models on the magazine covers. well just to tell ya, the way they airbrush pictures with a computer, it makes me sick. im sorry but it does.

Whats the real point? Simple, It is a market strategy to get guys to buy there product. If I have a choice between two magazines, both on Health related Issues but one of them has a "Provocative" body on the cover verse, lets say a pacemaker, which one would most guys lean towards? Same price same content, but which one would be bought over the other?

It's not jst to lure guys. especially in the US, societry is capitalist and materialistic and the majority of the population, generally the ones who buy magazines liek that, are on some constant track to look better only to feel better about themselves because usually that same majority of the population has low self-confidence due to the magazines and media that they buy into (ha, catch 22). Someone sees the magazine and says "I can look like that!?" so they buy it. and yeha, it's a marketing ploy, but for all of society, not just guys.
