Well, the only other movie where I was truly impressed with the lighting was The Wrath of Khan, especially with the shots inside the Nebula... you could see the way the lights showed off the hull of the two vessels.

Also i loved the way the ship looked at warp in those films...it just looked so FAST and POWERFULL

It also looked good at the end bit of Star Trek : VI when you get a side view of the ship (From the BOP point of view) as it's enterring orbit.

And you get to stare the ship in the eyes (Also from cloaked BOP view)

I prefer the Enterprise-A. It looked much better than the original Enterprise, and I loved the blue/green consoles.

One of the things I loved was that the ends of the warp nacelles on the Enterprise-A were finally put in their place!

On the original Enterprise, the very back of the warp nacelles would switch between a domed version and a plainer, 'vent-like' version. It was a little annoying, mostly because I like it when the details are consistent.

Youve just never seen the original Enterprise rendered with modern special effects. And besides after the original Enterprise was overhauled it looked exactly like the Enterprise-A!

I like the Enterprise A better, because it's a little more modern than even the original Enterprise after its refit, but it was a close call for me.
