Some months ago I thought of a new series, a crossover between Star Trek and a detective series. Starfleet Crime Investigation or something like that. I never posted my ideas anywhere on a forum though.
But now I was just browsing TrekBBS, and found out somebody had the same idea!

Even though I believe that some of us are Trekked-Out and that ENT should be the last Trek show for a long time, your idea still has merit.
I personally think your idea would work better as a series of novels though, novels about crime investigation and detective skills are better than movies about such themes. IMO.
But, yes, it's a good idea. There would be no shortage of things for Starfleet Crime Investigation to investigate from violations of the Prime Directive to conspiracies.

Yes. Episodes such as TOS's "Court Martial" and TNG's "The Measure of A Man" whetted my appetite for courtroom drama. I just love courtoom/detective stuff, one of my favourite dramas ever was L.A. Law.
Of course, with ENT on air now, it won't happen.
