I'm trying to get across that there is no reason they can't or shouldn't vote! ...although, as a person, maybe they shouldn't (or should realize they shouldn't) if they don't know what they're talking about, but they have a right to, and that right should be given to everyone, regardless. I just meant changing the attitude of how we approach 'getting the vote out.' The way it's set up isn't practical, and it really isn't helping people make decisions. So far, it's mostly been trying to get people excited about voting in itself. That's great, but it's not the best idea. My opinion, though, and I only seem to be reiterating the same point. I'm just trying to get across that I'm not *against* people voting. And I'll leave it at that.

I suppose. Let's put it this way: Maybe they should consider getting better informed. That work?

I understand your point completely, I was just a little confused at first. No worries.

So this has gone off topic. I suppose we should stop debating nothing.

One warning.

As the rules say no personal attacks on people and unless you can give a very good reason then that is a personal attack.

People seem to be making the point that he wasn't getting them to vote for Kerry but vote generally, but what about that^? I'm not saying what the republicans are doing is right (or wrong as I don't know enough about this) but that seems to imply it was biased.

Saying that you hate something is not a personal attack. If I were to give a reason, then that would be a personal attack. As a matter of fact, I was using the statement to show that I agree with RM for once. Of course, not many people in here are going to be able to link that, are they?

Now you see, that last part? That was a mass attack on the idiocy of this forum. So I assume that results in a banning or something.

Oh, and you should promote Hitchiker, what with him being the only one with any intelligence around here (I do include myself in that insult, clearly). Scratch that...Morphy too. He has the intelligence to stay out of most debates.

Although then again, who would take a compliment from someone like me? Someone who's been banned about twice already. Exactly, you wouldn't would you.

Whatever you say, but I take that "I hate Republican_Man" as an offense. And Hitchiker, although intelligent and my Internet friend, is NOT the only intelligent one on here! We have MANY intelligent people, from Theresa, to Exalya, to myself, and somethings Defiant!

I find it hard to take compliments from anyone . . .

::waits for the Debate loop to begin again::

After a topic has reached a certain saturation, and all parties have stated their opinions, it sort of loops and people bring up the same things over and over, leading to mult-paged topics. The loop gets broken when someone posts a new topic, and everyone migrates over there.

Before I am banned permanently, I'm going to make a few things clear.

I do not hate Republican Man, merely his stance on most topics due to his fanatical following of Bush.

I'm sorry if I have to explain everything in black and white, but the fact that noone could get that first time round worries me (hey, I'll bet there are some Mods who feel the same way about me).

I was trying to reinforce the usual difference of opinion between myself and RM, and the shock that I actually agreed with him for once.

I got out of bed to write this, so please appreciate it. Then again, that could just be a clear indication that I am a very bad troll. Trolls not actually caring about hurting people's feelings.

There you have it. Still ban me/delete my account if you wish (it could only be a good thing), but I wanted to get that cleared up before I popped my digital clogs.

You shouldn't be banned, Kyre.

Kyre, if you want to question the warning, you should do it in a private message, not on the forum. This is not the place for you to go off on a tirade. Jeremy's warning stands, and consider yourself warned again for your lovely comments on the users of this forum. As you've already been banned twice, I strongly advise you to watch what you say.

Republican_Man, I advise you to stay out of this matter, so as not to escaluate the situation. Thanks.

Well last week good ole micheal moore was here at Iowa State University. I decided I would go just to see how the other side does rallies and what not. I was very unimpressed. He was going on about the war in iraq and how its not the republicans fighting there its the democrats the republicans are all talk and no action (which made me extremely angry with him since i am a republican and I can't join the military but have tried multiple times). Then he decided to show new improved swiftboat vet adds he made which were vulgar and crude. one went thousands of people died in vietnam but kerry didnt die, he didnt even bleed, is this the kind of man you want for president? vote bush. then it moved on to how democrats are the majority and just lose elections because democrats are lazy slackers who never see sunrise unless its because they are still busy getting drunk and partiing when the sun starts to come up. well if he is telling the truth about how democrats are slackers then you should think wether or not you would want a slacker democrat as your president,
then at the very end he did the ramen and underwear for people who promised to vote..still bashing bush the whole time and yea it was get people to vote for kerry thing..(boy i am sure glad they used student fees to pay this guy after telling us they were not going to) all around very unimpressed about how he did the so called "lecture".

Bush will still get my vote only now afterspending the 90 minutes listening to this micheal moore guy ranting and raveing and spreading propaganda makes me think less af about all democrats
