I'll go see it, it looks like a pretty good horror. WE think it looks like the sequel to The Ring.

Yeah, I'll end up going to see this with my friends.

The girl climbing down the stairs and that girl in the mirror did look like something from out of the ring.

I'm not sure about that really pale little boy though, His mewing like a cat kinda made it look like a comedy movie,

I don't know, because in Japan they've come out with a whole bunch of sequals and tv shows and cartoons (to Ringu, the original The Ring). you know their crazy Japonese-ness. And I think maybe a couple of their stuff might have introduced new characters. So I'm thinking either The Grudge is a sequal or a cheap rip off of The Ring...

I think this looks like an interesting Halloween movie ta see. A good scarey movie for a change, instead of that Freddy vs. Jason crap horror movie. (Ok, I mean that in the sense that it is a slasher film...more gore, more blood, more death is supposed to = scary). As to it being a Ring knock off/sequel/rip-off...IMO I don't think it is. To me it has similar thematic elements, but that has to do with it being a Japanese film being made into an American film, just like the Ring.
To me the lady on the stairs reminds more of the Exorcist than anything else.

Safe journeys,...

Sarah Michelle Gellar in a shower is reason enough for me to see it.

But, that aside, I am interested in it. All my work colleagues have enjoyed it and there were a few chills to be found in the trailer.

Japan has always done good horror movies, I hope this is another good one. I haven't seen The Ring (original or remake) so I'll be taking this movie at face value.

I didn't think The Ring was scary at all. It seemed so fake. I mean, a girl coming out of the TV? Come on.

I watched maybe 20 minutes of the entire thing b/c the rest of the time i had my face in my hands looking at the floor, wishing i was deaf so i didn't have to hear that horrible clicking noise that the dead people made when they were around!! SCARY SCARY SCARY SCARY MOVIE!!

I was quite dissapointed with it. I didnt find it that scary and i thought it was poorly put together. However.. it had a few good film techniques especially..

SPOILER!!

Quote:
When the police inspector is watching the camera film and see's the girl appear at the door and walk towards the camera, distorting out of phase as she did this. that was really good!

But i dunno, it just didnt do it for me.

But then again the only film to properly scare me was the ORIGINAL Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Now that film rocks!

Well..............Watched it.........Scary...Yep, really scary i must say....But what the Hell was it about?

*SPOILERS*
Quote:
I like the scary moments for example in the empty building in that hallway, in the bus, in the beginning at the balcony and in the attic but i'm really missing a story line. I seemed like a very short movies because so few people spoke in it....Meanwhile a couple of dead people get found, Sarah Michelle Gellar(Karen) starts too look for clues about what happened, ends up in the house and tries too Burn it too the ground, end of movie. Twice you see Sarah totally in shock but thats about it.

I do understand that there was this Tayako who was in love with peter and after her husband found out He killed her and Their Son but i don't understand why She and the Boy kill (whats the grudge of the kid?). But they don't really tell the Tale.

*END SPOILERS*
Still you want tooo see it just for the Scary looks.

That boy reminded me of the movie Screamers.

Oh. My. Gosh. I just saw it the day before yesterday. It was sooo stupid! I was thinking it was going to be all scary and I'd be hiding my eyes and resisting the ruge to scream, but it wasn't scary AT ALL!

Quote:
Okay, so the dad killed the cat and the kid, right? Sow how exactly does this equal to the boy meowing? The best part of the entire movie was Jason Behr, and he DIED! I agree, the part with the security video was great, and the aprt where the guy finds Yoko with her jaw gone was pretty good, but other than that... uuughh. Not to mention there are worse crimes commited aaaall the time and none of them turn into grudges! It. Wasn't. Scary! In fact, I even fell asleep towards the end!

I saw it and thought it was scary. What I got out of it was the father killed the boy and mother and they are killing anyone that goes into the house out of a grudge against the man killing them.
