Petition to get another Skin on STV.com
From the time I joined back in June 2003, I have wanted another skin to have on STV.com but there has yet to be one. There are a lot of skins out there, Including a LCARS one made just for phpb2. This topic I made to see how many members (other than me) would like to have another skin on STV.com, Is there even a solid reason to only have one skin?

Im somewhat of a newbie compared to people who have been here for years. I am opened to putting another skin though. Im sure there are tons of Voyager ones if thats what people want.

Adding a skin would mean you have two different layouts, we would still keep this view of the site but have a choice to switch it back and forth with something else in your profiles.

I think it's fine as it is... I mean, sure go ahead and change it if that's what comes about, but I think any major change would confuse me and my sometimes slow comprehension due to the sometimes bad vision

I do NOT want one, nor do a couple of others, so that doesn't qualify as everyone.

I kind of agree with Defiant. I am perfectly happy with STV as it is. I personally have no idea in the work one must put into doing different things to websites, but I would imagine creating a new skin would be time-consuming. I mean I am not going to stop Morphy from creating a new skin...if he feels like it, then by all means. Anyhow...there is my two cents.

I'm not saying make one from scratce, we could just add the LCARS skin off of www.phpbb.com with only a quick FTP transfer. We could add a Logo that said STV.com and poof we are done, I'm not asking for the default skin to be changed or anything, just another option.

Isn't that the trek console skin? I don't like that skin I like this one just fine. So I say... keep it how it is, unless you really WANT to change it 'cause you think it's fun... or... something...

Im pretty sure you have to add all the values for each skin...I know my board doesnt allow me to just add a file to put a new skin in.
It seems to me, that STV wouldnt be the same if we had different skins.
Also note (especially RM), that if a new skin was added, that doesnt mean you have to use it. You can still use the awesome defualt skin we all have.

The LCARS was just an example, m021
And the thing with having more than one skin, would mean that you could stay with this otyher one while other users could change, which means you could stay on this one and i could be on another one.
