The show does name things after writters. One of them is named Zimmermen like the Doctor in Voyager. So the Jeffereies thing is possiable.

Jefferies tubes were named after the guy who designed the original Star Trek Enterprise, Matt Jefferies. Wesley Crusher was originally a girl in the first script named Leslie, when they decided to go with a male actor they named him Wesley, I'll bet you didn't know that it was in honor of Gene Roddenberry whose middle name was Wesley.

Ok here's a question, why did they make such a big deal out of the ship using bio-neural gel packs when they only used them in two stories?

Probably because they screwed up so often. Like getting a cold,etc... Or maybe they just wanted you to know it was there. That Voyager had an advantage.

Michael Jeffries was the set designer and created the Jeffries tubes which at the time had no purpose but writers ultimatly gave them a purpose and named them after him

In responce to the Bio-nueral gel poacks, they simply wanted to make it known that technology had advanced from the position of the Trek timeline of DS9. If you really look at some of the story lines, you will see that they do something like that in many episodes.

Apperntly there was a junior Ensign called Luke Jeffrie who was crawling in one of these tubes and passed out in it! So they named it a jeffries tube after him. Somehow I dont think thats true. What do you think?

What are you talking about? Quantun torpedoes are not illegal in the Federation. The Enterprise E is aremed with over 500 of them! They were first tested on the Defiant.

Quantun Torpedoes were not yet in service at the time Voyager left spce dock, so obviously they could not be placed on Voyager.
