|
((I hope this is okay to post here ))
This is an interesting article I picked up on FOX News.com
Quote: | Jedi Master Yoda Pledges Support for Bush
Wednesday, September 29th, 2004
Coruscant Jedi Master Yoda, Senior Member of the Jedi Council on Coruscant, pledged his support for the President of the United States yesterday at a Bush Campaign Rally in Ohio.
As President Bush leads in the most recent polls, he has gained the support from several Jedi Knights on the distant planet of Coruscant, from Obi-Wan Kenobi to Mace Windu. Just yesterday, Jedi Master Yoda, a Senior Member of the Jedi Council on Coruscant, pledged his support to President Bush in Ohio on at a Bush campaign rally.
"Since September 11th, strong has President Bush been," Yoda said in his speech. "Act correctly, he did. A terrorist attack, we have not had since then."
The Jedi Master went on to say, "When a threat we are faced with, act on it we must. And act on a threat, President Bush did." Adding on to that statement, the Master said, "Necessary, the Iraq War was."
Shortly after his speaking on Iraq, the Jedi Master stated, "In these dark times, when the shroud of the Dark Side has fallen and is attempting to dispose of the Light Side, a strong leader we must have. And a strong leader, this President is."
Because of Master Yoda's focus on defense, he spoke little of social issues, but what he did speak of was the President's support of the Jedi Temple. "Necessary, the Jedi are, to keep order on distant planets. Strong support has been pledged by this President. Strong support. And good that is."
On education he spoke highly of him, and then spoke of the opponent, John Kerry.
"The other day, flip-flopped on Iraq again, John Kerry did. Again, opposes it he does. Know where he is on that issue, I do not."
On Kerry's funding of our troops, Yoda said, "Fund America's troops, Senator Kerry did not. "'I actually did vote for the $87 Billion dollars, before I voted against it,' said he. Fund our troops he did not. Wrong was that. Support, our troops needed."
He called Kerry a flip-flopper, discussed his flip-flops on missile defense, the Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind, and the Jedi Knights.
He then closed with, "With President Bush, the Force is. With President Bush, I am."
In an interview with FOX News' Brit Hume on Special Report with Brit Hume, (pictured below) the Jedi stated, "Peace Keepers, the Jedi are. Supported them, he did. Then, against us he was. And then he supported us. And at last, against him he is. Know if he supports the Jedi, I do not."
When asked about the Patriot Act, Master Yoda stated, "Protect the United States, that act does. If a suspected terrorist is found, help the country, it will. ...Supported it, he did. Now, against it is he."
When asked about President Bush's fighting of the War on Terror and War in Iraq, he said, "Strong is the President. With the shroud of the Dark Side ever apparent, strong this President has been in fighting this War on Terror. ...He saw the threat of the Dark Side regime of the Dark Lord Saddam Hussein of Iraq. Against Saddam, all the intelligence was. Necessary to take the iniciative of defense, it was. Were the Jedi Council to have received word on the threat of the Dark Side, act on it we would, much like we did during the invasion of the Trade Federation on Naboo. Dark these times are, and consistent and strong on defense, President Bush has been."
He stated that President Bush has his full support, as well as the support of the Force and the Republic and the overall Jedi Council on Coruscant.
FOX News' Bill O'Reilly will be having an interview with the Master tonight at 8:00 Eastern Time.
FOX News' James Rosen and Kelly Wright contributed to this report. |
((I'll give you all the "transcript" of the O'Reilly interview as soon as I can find it ))

I saw on a show called "The Fox Report With Shepherd Smith", and it was a segment called the "G-Block" and it said that 75% of Klingons support John Kerry. Must be popular to tie Sci-Fi in with real life.

Wait--I just remembered! You can't be a Klingon 'cause you can't support--and don't support--Kerry!

A Klingon? Supporting KERRY?!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA--
No. There is no honor in changing your opinion on things such as war. And I'm sure there's no way to translate 'Sensitive War' in Klingon.

Hey--good point! We could have a debate between a Klingon for Kerry and a Klingon for Bush (being Exalya) on the "Factor" as well.

Hm...the Klingon against Bush may have to die at the end.

Don't kill the messenger! I only saw it! I figure that the 75% of Klingons that oppose Bush were from some revolting clan.

I wasn't killing the messenger, just the Klingons for Kerry. That's odd to me. VERY odd. Of course, if they were under the delusion that Bush is a liar, they'd probably have a good deal of animocity towards him, for being dishonorable. (Which he is NOT. ) *shrugs*

In the news it was about a group of Klingons outside a grocery store, and 75% of them support Kerry.

I would of thought that Klingons would be for Bush and Yoda be for Kerry. Seems only natural to me. I'd say Yoda was quite the liberal in a galaxy far far awat
