WE FIRST TOLD YOU ABOUT AN ALBINO SQUIRREL IN A BANGOR NEIGHBORHOOD LAST SUMMER.
NOW FOR FOLKS IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD, THERE'S SOME SAD NEWS TO REPORT. THE SQUIRREL RECENTLY DIED.
NEIGHBORS COULDN'T AGREE ON HER NAME. SOME CALLED THE ALBINO SQUIRREL WHITEY. TO OTHERS SHE WAS KNOWN AS SNOWBALL.
BUT ONE THING THAT NEIGHBORS ARLENE AND HILDA CAN BOTH AGREE ON. THEY'LL MISS THEIR FRIEND.Return to index of stories...

SQUIRREL-SOT
31.23.04 I miss her a lot. I can't help missing her. It was something to look forward to every day.
30.31.03 we both cried for two days.
THEY SAY THE ALBINO SQUIRREL WAS SOMETHING ELSE. AND THEY'LL PROBABLY NEVER SEE ANOTHER ALBINO SQUIRREL IN THEIR LIFETIME.
THEY THINK SHE DIED IN A FIGHT WITH ANOTHER SQUIRREL.
THEY'RE BUILDING A WHITE CROSS TO REMEMBER THE UNIQUE ANIMAL THEY CONSIDERED A PET.

Okay, so when I went to church work camp and worked on this lady's trailer, she had a pair of stuffed squirrels. I've now made it a life goal to never, ever, ever, ever own a pair of stuffed squirrels.
Going to have to go with Ronevick's reaction on this--congratulations, and um...yeah, definitely want to laugh.

I saw it the last time I visited Maine. I fed it peanuts at Nana's house.

I really really HATE grey squirrels!!!!!!
Some idiot introduced them to England and now they are killing off all the nice red squirrels. We had some in our loft and they made a drey in our christmas tree til my dad kinda poisoned them
the albino one sounds nice, like those white chipmunks you can get
my mum was in the newspaper throwing gunge at a college at a summer holiday club
