Mon Sep 20, 2004 2:36 am Star Trek Nemesis mistake? |
|
Now this is based off a deleted scene, so it may not be considered canon. If thats the case then this "blooper" is wrong. At the beginning Captain Picard mentions that Data will be the new first officer. Yet in the deleted scene we see another guy reporting for duty as the first officer. So who is the new first officer? Or since the scene was deleted did that never happen?

Actually that deleted scene was from the end of the movie when Riker left and Data was dead so they needed a new First Officer, so presumable the guy we see reporting in was the replacement for the Late Commander Data

Am I the only one who love Nemesis?
I love Troi and Riker so that could go some way to explain why I like Nemesis

No your not...I actually liked Nemesis as well. There are a few things about it that I didn't care for, but overall it was a good Trek film. The main thing I didn't care for was the over-tired clone angle the movie was based on, but that is me. They did a lot of interesting things in this one too that hadn't been done before: the biggest being they rammed the ship! That was a great scene, one that I had been wanting to see.
Safe j ourneys...

Despite the "Could be better written" battle scene, I thought it was excellent, because we got to see some real starship potential, firing phsaers and torpedoes out of as many launchers and arrays as possible.

American soldiers in battle don't fight for what some president says on T.V., they don't fight for mom, apple pie, the American flag ...
They fight for one another.
