They DID ban it! I can't remember why thou, I was quite young... I think they baned it cuz some kid did something like they did in the series... I'm not sure... But they did baned it at least overhere, that I am sure of.

Transformers the movie introduced themes to me that I did not understand as a kid. Prime dying and all... it was sad.

The 70's and 80's really was the best time for cartoons.

I used to enjoy Transformers. I liked Starscream and the way he always used to challenge Megatron's authority. But I liked the Autobots. Optimus Prime was my favourite but I also liked Hot Rod and Bumblebee, simply because they looked cool.

I thought Transformers:The Movie was ahead of it's time, when I first saw it in the 80's, it seemed like something that had come from the future. It still looks good today.

BTW, I also liked GoBots, that was similar to the Transformers cartoon. I'm not sure which appeared first, I think Transformers appeared on TV first whereas GoBots may have appeared in a comic, prior to the Transformers show.

Oh, and there are rumours every now and then about a live-action Transformers movie. It might be good but as it would probably be CGI anway, I see little point. A big-budget cartoon would be better.

I could talk about this subject all day.

Starscream was always my favorite character. In fact, I happen to own a reissue version of of the original G1 Starscream toy.
